Frontlines: Fuel of War has 50 player multiplayer on Xbox 360. Today. Right now.

The question isnt "how many can you have at once", but as toughname said, what are they doing?

There was a 40 player-mutliplayer (forget the name at present..) on the Xbox. Having a lot of players isnt a new thing.

That said, if you're looking for a break-out game, based on all we've seen so far, Haze isnt it. Haze looks like it will end-up in the 5-6/10 ...

If your interested in JRPG (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Tales of V, Eternal Sonata) or RPG (Oblivion, Fable 2) or even RPG Adventure (Too Human) Xbox 360 is the place to be.

No doubt about it.

"Thirdly, Linux has conquered a great share of the server market."

GNU/Linux is replacing older UNIXs (HPUX, AIX, SunOS). Further, Windows is still actually gaining more of that Big-Unix marketshare than GNU/Linux is.

Look it up.

You can turn that off. Secondly, OSX is simply a FreeBSD fork, it you wish to run UNIX on the desktop, GNU/Linux is a much better option.

Save much $$$. No $130 yearly 10.x updates. No overpriced hardware.

If you have that much trouble, perhaps you should buy a Lenovo, HP, Dell or other machine.

I've built 3 machines with Vista (i build boxes for family/friends) and have never had a stitch of an issue. Of course, in the early days, Nvidia was neglecting their Vista drivers, so I avoided them.

But, Nvidia is finally starting to take some ownership for the problems they have been causing. They're promising better things w/ their next drivers.

That is a very good idea for both consoles. For age-verification, they should use a credit-card.

Segregate the two groups, adults vs. children. Why? So adults dont have to worry about being "offensive" to kids, and to protect kids from offensive adults.

Its a good idea IMHO to segregate the two groups, not just mature-only DLC.

"Care to explain then why Sony brand name generally goes together with quality and innovation?. "

Bwhahahahah. Sony makes 2 products that arent a laughing stock: TVs and PS. And, now that they've moved to LCD for their TV, I'd say were approaching one.

Sony's audio products are abysmal. Its PCs overpriced. Its portable players (DAPs etc) & cellphones a laughing stock. Sony is well known to be anti-competitive and anti-customer, they regularly t...

"dedicated servers"

I have to ask, what the fcuk does that mean? You people say that as if you know what the hell you're talking about.

You throw that "oh, its got dedicated servers" like it means something. Lets be serious, there are more LIVE subscribers (that is how it is spelt btw) than there are PS3s in the world, dont you think it takes a few "dedicated servers" to support that?

Dont be daft. And dont presume ...

@the hater

IT was _more_ than Capcom the authr talked to. And, he told you why the other games didnt have mandatory installs.

"developers copy their game’s data on the disc multiple times, giving the drive more areas to seek the same exact data from. Others spent time optimizing streaming techniques."

Did you even read the article?

-free online? less option, less reliable, etc.
-blu-ray? people buy consoles to play games + people aren’t ready to buy 30-40$ movies that only works on the PS3 (or if you have other blue-ray machines in the house)
-HDMI ports are included in the elites, arcades and pros since summer 2007.
-Components and HDMI are the same as far as gaming goes, both does 1080p, don’t be suckered by Sony and other companies HDMI BS
-Free Wifi? Good point, but the wireless adapter i...

"There's a lot changing this year, both from an internal and a third-party support perspective as well. We have a number of exciting titles, none of which are actually public information yet. But the thing we want to really make sure we do is, we know the core audience have voted for Xbox 360 because it delivers the games they like to play, so we're not walking away from the core whatsoever. We're still going to have the core games like Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Halo Wars, Too Human, etc....

No. Acutally, you cant even repeat your FUD correctly.

That "16%" rate came from SquareTrade. There fcuking press release said "just over half" were general hardware failure. The rest of the 16% were _contacts_.
