I don't know if "OFF" is the right way to put it. More like "incapable or without knowledge of how to take care of another child" but I agree with some of what you said. He does need help. Even if it was accident, the guilt of killing your little sister could be very damaging to his mental healh. @Parasyte thrasherv3 is right. She simply was trying to protect her son because she is his mothers and that's what mothers do. She probably won't get tried unless she ...

@SnotyTheRocket It's not the parent's fault, huh? I agree that sometimes it's not the parent's fault and the blame should o entirely to the kid but did you read the story? The parent(s) left a kid who he and/or she didn't teach how to take care of baby with a baby he is supposed to watch or take care for a extended period of time. That irresponsibility on his or her part is what got their daughter killed. You really shouldn't even be leaving any 13 year old unsupervise...

Well, the game obviously didn't make him kill his sister. No game in modern days is hard enough to piss you off to that point. Even Demon's Souls ain't that bad. Like pretty much video game related deaths in recent years, the game had nothing to do with it. They find ones where video games are somehow involved because they get more traffic from shock value. Why don't we hear about the other 50000 cases annually as well. They just as tragic. Sure, he might have been pissed off...

Yah Vanille was my favorite character in FF13 but then again my favorite character from every FF game is the crazy bitch with a screw loose. Vanille(13), Rikku(FFX and X-2), and Yuffie(FF7) to name a few. Vanille is adequately explained though. Yuffie's compulsive stealing and Rikku's overly dramitized perceptions of most situations aren't though.

@SWORDF1SH Watch the original Kevin Butler commercial where he was denying the $300 price tag. It was advertised as PS3 Slim by Sony right there.

I play 12+ hour sessions all the damn time. As long as I take breaks every couple hours, I feel no effects from it. Pause the game, stretch, consume food and water/drinks , play with the dogs, check their food, stare at a far way object for a while(to prevent too much eyestrain, and go back to playing within 30 minutes. My game time ends up being 12 hours in a 14-15 hour period. I usually play in 5-6 hour sessions per day during the fall gaming season but I know I've played in plenty of 1...

@awesomeperson It was like 46 percent of US households have HDTVs in late 2009 and 35 percent had multiple ones. It 61 percent for those who make over $75000 a year. It's a lot lower than you'd think and it hasn't grew tremendously in the past few years.Personally I got my first HDTV in February 2010. Prices still need to drop a lot for the rest to get it. If the price of a 50 inch 1080p LCD should be less than 500 by now and the smaller ones were even cheaper, the adoption rate w...

@CaptCalvin Try Demon's Souls's character creation. Your choices are between how ugly you want and make the guy and how ugly the guy is going to be regardless because you can't make him look decent. Luckily you mostly see the back of his head and his ugly self is covered in pretty armor.

That's a nice list but you fail on a few things. First Bastion and some of your other Arcade titles are coming to PC and PSN as well Live so they're not exclusive. Then you mention Kinect titles which aren't relevant to at least 80 percent of users. You also fail to understand the issue. The Xbox has plenty of exclusives but the ones people care about are going to released next year or the next. Then there's a lot of rumors in your statement that haven't panned out. Also yo...

Back on PC? Not a lot of people play on PC in comparison to consoles outside of Facebook games. I'm not done with this console generation. It still has few years left and Sony is hitting their stride. PS3 gamers this year will go into debt so much that they won't even be abe to buy the 5 exclusives already announced for next year.

Umm I know what you are trying to say but there's a few things you don't know. Bethesda is a ZeniMax Media company. They were acquired back in 1999. They're not independent and haven't been for a long time. ZeniMax Media's worth in the billions but could theoretically be bought by EA. I could see why you'd be confused though. After all Take-Two were the ones how published Oblivion back in the day. ZeniMax is actually similar to Take-Two but smaller. Take-Two owns Rockst...

It should be Elena's voice actor as Elena(She's on Haven, a decent SyFy show for once), Nathon Fillion as Nathon Drake, and I don't know who should be Sully. I was thinking maybe Bruce Campbell because of his voice being similar what I'd imagine a younger Sully being but I'm still very iffy. Of course, by the time this movie happens, Bruce Campbell will be far too old to play Sully. It's difficult to name anyone just the right age to play the part.

@Yi-Long Your logic isn't sound. What would be the point of pirating the games? Game developers and other industries aren't getting better and better at preventing piracy. They put up multiple fake copies of the games that are modded to make it frustrating on the downloader. You just download 4-8gbs only to find out the game prevents you from getting more than a demo's worth of content then telling you to be the full product or your stored information such as passwords on some of ...

@Ranshak Blu-ray was the most expensive part of the PS3 and still is. It's the main reason why the machine still costs Sony more than $200. Furthermore you could build a rig that was basically on par with PS3 for $700 back then. I know I was shopping for parts back then. $1000 would have definitely outperformed it but not murdered it. The cell definitely wasn't the most advanced thing back then but it was by far the best value back then. For the money, you got something that did twice...

At least I've done all these on PS2. Disappointed by the list though. They include the shooting range which is actually quite fun but not Separate Ways. Well I guess maybe you have to beat Separate Ways for a costume or was that just the Chicago Typewriter? Also are they referring to the costumes on Mercenaries or the main game because I don't remember any costumes on Mercenaries just characters and getting 60000 with each on every level to the legendary Handcannon. Even more disappoi...

Not necessarily. A price drop on PS3 and Vita would make a $400 bundle possible. Assuming the Wii U is a half-step(according to Gearbox) it should cost more than PS3 which costs $232 production cost(based on February 2011 so it's cheaper now)If Sony could cut prices on PS3 and Vita while Wii U is still launching a get a quality game out that uses similar tech, it'll take some of the steam of out of the launch. Especially if the Vita and PS3 are bundled for $400(which I'm guessing ...

Well there's already a lot of connectivity between the platforms. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a price drop sometime this and/or next year on the PS3(to $200-$250) and/or Vita(to $200) then a bundle with both for $400. It'd be a good strategy to preempt the Wii U if they find a way to give something similar plus two stand alone devices. The Wii U controllers probably going to be $100 though. It'll come with the console and be anywhere between $300-$500 depen...

Do you have an old rig though? You can build a rig for around $900-$1100(I get my stuff on sale, list price would be more like $1500) that will run it maxed out with a few features cut off. The changes the features make aren't major except ubersampling but this so demanding it's ridiculous especially because the Witcher 2 is an overly demanding game as it is. If you already have a decent rig you can save some money and cut some corners. Here's a forum comparing graphics cards.

Actually they've said they've considered and are working on an engine for PS3 already, maybe for the Witcher 2 or future games. It's in an interview in Polish. The problem is they can't handle porting both versions at the same time and wish to focus on maximizing the quality of one version. BTW you can build a $900 that will run it with some highest settings as long as you cut uber sampling and a few features off. The same rig will run anything in the forseeable maxed out or on...

No offense but that new project doesn't exactly look all that hot(of course, I haven't seen gameplay but so far I do not like the concept) and it's not like Sony is lacking exclusives for this year or 2012(5 good ones already announced for 2012). As far as I know the deal Insomniac made with EA isn't for a number of projects and let's them keep the rights to the IP so they could make one multiplatform game, get poor sales(maybe it sucks or EA doesn't market it), and go...
