@Crap_Turtle Piracy is rampant but a lot more people buy games than you think. Where were the advertisements in the US for the Witcher series. Exactly, few and far between and yet, the Witcher 2 sold 1 million in the US alone in 2011 and CD Projekt RED is very small. Cliff Bleszinski and several other developers have gone on record saying if you're a small developer starting out to go to PC and Steam.

This is the one time this rule applies with no exception. For the dlc, if you don't like it don't buy it. It's quite ridiculous that people are bitching about some maps(that while cut from the original package) are insignificant. Capcom says they're giving us three campaigns and it's rumored to have a fourth from Ada's perspective after completing the other three which at least triples the content of the last RE game and people find the smallest little thing to bitch a...

When will idiots realize that they are in fact the sexist ones? Okay let's take a game God of War for instance. Anyone could argue the women in that game are just sex objects. Everyone is scantily clad or naked and Kratos has threesomes/insert number-somes with a lot of women. Even Athena doesn't have much on. That's a fine until you realize that's how women and men dressed back in Athens/Sparta in that time period. No one really wore much of anything in Athens. If anything th...

Crysis 3 is already leaked by Origin. Best kept secret is sarcasm.

I wouldn't necessarily add 6 months. Rockstar historically have been fairly consistent with their release schedule for GTA. GTAIV the obvious exception

While they are pretty bad, they're still miles behind several companies outside of the gaming industry. Bank of America for instance is far worse and I don't even need to explain the several reasons why that is.
Here's some reasons why they aren't as bad as they seem at first glance. The EA Madden monopoly is something that is a little overblown. Sony San Diego and 2K were both also trying to get that license, EA is just the company that got it. If EA didn't ge...

Yeah two ways. Cut the internet connection to your PS3 off or stay connected press O when tries to update to cancel and then play the game. It won't force you to update to play it because its not an online MP game.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to update but I'll wait until the next one.

It was broken. I got 140 hours in and it was literally unplayable. Then patch 1.4 came out and there's been very little slowdown. I'm now 210 hours in and have pretty done just about every quest(going by the uesp wiki)and it's running fine. So it's not broken but it still has some bugs that don't seem to affect much.

They should give him 5-10 and a reduced sentence of 2-3 if the hacker turn in someone who helped him. This sort of case should get roughly the same punishment of art crimes, counterfeiting, and fraud. I'm assuming he gave them something if he got a deal though.

BTW Siren30 was saying he/she was excited about "Sorcery" "2 years ago" not "Sorcery 2" "years ago". He was probably excited around E3 2010, a little less than 2 years ago. I understand how you could have misread it once but when something seemed off, I don't understand how you have done so twice. I'm going to assume you didn't go back and read it a second time in which case you made a simple mistake which could happen to anyone.

There's not much of an argument. On one hand, Bioware has the right to end ME3 however the wanted it to end. They're the sellers and should have creative control of the product. On the other hand, Bioware did falsely advertise how the ending would work and implied the player would have a larger influence then the player actually does. The ending "sucking" is subjective and doesn't matter but if anyone were to dig up the evidence that they falsely advertised how the playe...

To be fair, he only compared Ninja Gaiden 3 to previous to further illustrate where the game fails. For instance, he says NG3 has one weapon which increases repetition more than necessary and that previous NG games had plenty of weapons which cut down on repetition, therefore it was a bad design choice to limit the player to one weapon. Sure the reviwer's tone was overwhelmingly negative but he "justified" his review with his points. A-Z are bad choices but the game also has lit...

Well Colin reviewed Amy and I think Mitch was the name of the reviewer on NG3 and reviews aren't meant for people to compare two games. They're for the reader to get an opinion on whether the game is good or bad and what it did wrong and right. Also if you read Mitch?'s review like I did the other day, you'd know why it got a 3. Maybe he was a little harsh on the game but everything he complained about was a legitimate criticism of what the game did wrong. Maybe it should got ...

I wouldn't say they're freaking amazing but I enjoyed my time with both. Even with their faults their good games. However, I understand the hate completely. The reason its many people hate on them is because in many respects they're both several steps back for the series and proof that Square Enix doesn't know what people meant with their feedback. Take FF12 for example. If you compare and contrast FF13 and FF12, you'll see the gameplay is very similar. The difference is 1...

Mediocre is the word used actually which is like a negative word for average or just below average.
On IGN's review guide it literally says that 7-7.5/10 is a "good enough to recommend" while they don't recommend 6.5 or below.

It depends. Maybe they'll get better jobs because the company failed or if anyone got a severance package they can use it to live off of or go to school with. It's not like GAME's failure is sudden. People have a good deal of time to find another, probably better paying, job.

"criticized his own work" Do you mean how he said Fable sucked but able Fable 2 would better then said Fable 2 sucked but Fable 3 would be better? In reality, they're all decent games but none of them deserve AAA status, at least not as much as other franchises do. Kinect is good supplemental device but the best game using only Kinect(currently Dance Central) will never be as good as the best game using a controller, even if that controller is a motion controller(i.e. Skyward Sw...

They should just do the extra content as a patch if they can. I don't know if Microsoft limits that too but I don't believe they or Sony do. The SSHD patches are twice the size of the game and dlc combined. I have several games that have patches that go into the hundreds of mb so I don't see why they couldn't go into the segmented roughly gb size patches.

It's maxed out in the sense that it uses the full power but the developers continue to improve upon their optimization.
