If you're offended by "if you let your girlfriend win, she'll give you a BJ", you're just stupid. That statement obviously meant to be a outrageous, funny exaggeration. Even taking out of context, it's intent is clear. Reading her original piece, it says a sexist statement can be thoughtless but it can't. If you put "I hate women" into context as if I was saying it jokingly it is no longer a sexist statement. Context and tone can change the meaning of a...
@PetitPiPi One advantage if you get in the beta, which gives you 8.5 gb, would be moving files over than are larger than 4gb like digital copies of movies over to your PS3 for storage on PS3. My PC only has 34 gb of storage left so whenever I get a digital copy of something now I can just transfer it over to the PS3 using it as an external HDD since I have 500gb HDD in it. With it on PS3 that frees up memory on my PC and allows me to watch it on my TV as well.
Jak X had a save file issue on B/C PS3's and isn't in the Jak collection so it probably should go this route. However, I wouldn't have it take priority over many other titles. If they do it, I buy it. If not, oh well I still have a PS2.
Demons Souls was challenging but I don't think it belongs on the hardest franchises list. There are plenty of games/game franchises that are way harder to get through especially if we're considering games with extra difficulty modes. Anyone with patience and a little skill can be Demons Souls. Something like Megaman, however, just requires amazing platforming skill. Megaman 1 is also harder than any Megaman after it.
@gillri You must not be using accessories and items. You can stock up healing items and use the Climax bracer and evil rosary thing to make infinite climax extremely. If you go in with only weapons using no items it is more challenging than most games but is still very possible. The extra chapter and secret boss were more difficult though. Still DMC3 and DMC1 were harder than that on Dante Must Die. That being said I found Heaven or Hell on DMC3 to be relatively easy.
It's M-rated for a reason. Kids shouldn't be playing it. On top of this I was playing God of War when I was 12 and it didn't affect me in the slightest. Blame parents, blame society, blame culture, blame the place you grew up and the people you were around, but blaming a game, movie, music, book, or anything designed specifically for your entertainment is just nonsense. I've listen to songs about or involving rape, necrophilia, killing people for various reasons, "fucking...
@jthamind and megaman_nerd There is a difference, It is just so far zoomed out most of the time you can't notice it. The major difference I noticed going from a 23 inch SDTV to a 32 inch LCD is that the character textures were smoother. For instance, you can see the boobs on the Sirens and Gorgons much more clearly in GOW1. I didn't even notice that one of the siren's tits was hanging out before playing the HD remake and I've played GOW1 literally a couple dozen times. The smo...
GOW2 came out in 2007 after the PS3 launch and that wasn't the last release on PS2 by any means. As with the PSP it's last major support came from JRPGs. The same thing can be seen in 2011 with the DS still releasing games throughout the even after the 3DS started selling well. I wouldn't doubt releases a year or two after PS4 comes out, but then again, next gen won't be much of a gap in power so it could have a negative effect on post-PS3 era PS3 games.
Congrats to Microsoft. Now can they please get Rare to make sequels to their old IPs already. Rare is being wasting on Kinect games and mediocre ones at that. Killer Instinct, Conker,Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Pinata, Perfect Dark, Kameo, etc. Pick one out of a hat but any one of them would be better than Kinect Sports.
PIN Number, ATM Machine,LCD display, and Hot Water Heater. These are just a few examples of the redundancies I hear all the time. We live in a world that is very redundant so it's best not to get hung up on these things
Lower some of the prices on some products and make enticing advertisements specifically for your one product. Sony makes good products but they don't make it known that they're any better than their competitors. The Resistance 3 commercial was horrible. It did not show anything about the game besides its a shooter with aliens and was pushing sharpshooter more heavily than the game. I blame that commercial on why Resistance 3 did not put up the sales numbers it deserved.
Catherine just launched in UK/Europe. This why it seems like it should be old news but it's not.
I think they're shooting for 30fps. You could tell in one of the earlier videos that it was running lower than 30 though. That being said it has the run the image twice for 3D so if it manages 30fps its running 60fps. They probably had 3D on during that video which is probably why the drop was noticeable. Hope that makes sense.
I'd have to disagree. Look at the finger and the left of the shirt. See all those jaggies. The hair looks better on 3DS but everything else is just higher color saturation not better textures or more detail. The hair in the HD collection doesn't have asmuch color saturation as either other version so it looks more faded out. The 3DS version could look better in motion but I doubt it because the HD collection runs at 60fps. I'd say the PS2 and 3DS versions are interchangeable as fa...
@ronin4life You're Peace Walker. Its a sequel to MGS3.
@GillHarrison I prefer for the game to as true to the original as possible. Peace Walker was amazing and its controls were great but MGS3 is my favorite of the series and changing to a Peace Walker control style doesn't sound lie it improve anything.
This is just idiotic. Having mass appeal doesn't mean for kids and soccer moms. Second, the Vita is great but it will have equal appeal. Look at LBP and Modnation Racers. Sony is going for a broad audience as they always have. Personally I can't wait to recreate Angry Birds in LBP Vita and name it Pissed off Avians. Both are for real gamers. You're the type of person who didn't buy Okami back on PS2 because it was "cartoony". Graphics and art style don't matter b...
The DS had an awesome library of games and I'd say more great games than PSP but Godchild is right, it did have way more than its fair share of shovelware. You only have to look at one company Ubisoft to see that. PETZ and IMAGINE were spammed out every two seconds and Style Lab and MY FASHION STUDIO were obviously shovelware. I'm not even mentioning the licensed titles for movies and TV shows. Its horrible when you're browsing in Walmart and you see 5 imagine games on the same sh...
I don't really understand why people "disagree" with this. The media puts a twist on everything not just Islam. Basically, what this guy said was "go to the source". If you believe everything you hear from a second hand source without checking the actual source for verification, you only know what you are told. If you're disagreeing because he is Muslim that just shows your maturity level. A Muslim's actions aren't necessary indicative of Islam in the same ...
I mostly agree but what is the point of this game anyways. Games are meant to be fun, engaging, entertaining, and sometimes meaningful experiences. Experimenting with religion in games is fine. Look at Dead Space. They created Unitology and use a cult-like religion to tell a compelling story and add to the lore of the game. If it is used right, any religion can and should be used in games. This argument extends to all media, but this obviously isn't being used right at all. The moment I s...
@JaredH Look at comment #9. It's just the intial list. Most likely all of them will be/will eventually be compatible. Those are just the confirmed ones or the intial list to be expaned on. I rememember my 80gb PS3 I got Christmas 2007 didn't play DMC3 Special Edition and a year later I tried it and it played jut fine. Sony are good about slipping these things into updates and not telling you.
