He/she included the memory card in his/her price which was not a factor we knew for sure about at the time. 32gb cards are about $70-80 on the better sales but Sony need to drop the list price on the cards to lower than the the sale prices($50 preferably) and possible a small price drop on the system to start moving Vitas while staying profitable. With PS+ coming to Vita there's a lot more incentive to get downloadable content for Vita over physical copies so the cost of memory needs to g...
Yeah I thought this was obvious. He was playing with a controller so people may have been fooled by that but to me, Watch Dogs looked like a PC game that could be out now with a guy using a controller under the gamepad settings. Graphically, while impressive, Watch Dogs is nothing special. The most impressive thing is that its open world and looks that good, not just how good it looks.
@BertlSenix You have to look at a company's track record. I bought a PS3 in 2007 for God of War 3 because I knew after playing God of War 2, GOW3 was going to be on PS3. You actually can tell. Sony is going to be the on until the very end pushing new IPs. Look at Tokyo Jungle, Last of Us, Beyond, Gravity Rush(originally planned to be a PS3 game), etc. Nintendo will do the same except for the last year aka look at Gamecube's and Wii's last years. One or two games came out. Microsof...
Sizzle trailers and they could have showed a lot more individually. They're a multiple billion dollar corporation. It's not like they couldn't have paid for extra stage time. They could have had a 3 hour conference. Why limit yourself. If you have more to show especially it one ups your competition, you should show more. Nintendo divided their conference into two parts and a pre-show part as well so there's no reason Sony couldn't have had a really long conference or split...

I'm just wondering who wanted the conference to be shorter. I always want longer more featured conferences especially from Sony. If you have games to show, pay for the extra time for the stage and show the games. Less talking about the game unless it needs explaining, 10 min max demos, announce your service updates like PS+ this year concisely, and you can have a 24 hour long conference as long as you have interesting stuff to show.
@aaron5829 Well Peace Walker HD is on consoles too now. Maybe he meant Metal Gear Acid. Metal Gear prequels should continue until the gap in between Peace Walker and the original is filled. We know Big Boss was building up his forces during and post Peace Walker but there's this huge gap where things could be explained that have been left somewhat unclear in the MGS games. I'd love another game starring Big Boss because MGS3 and PW are two of my favorite games
I will buy whatever system they put it on if I don't have it already just for a proper sequel to Okami. Okamiden was great but it was nothing compared to the original PS2 game.
@wwm0nkey It doesn't matter that is what on the PS and Nintendo platforms in the past but the reason it's coming to Wii U and Vita are because they're just getting started and PS3 may be the lead platform. The amount of work to port it to 360 may not be worth it when by the time this is released the 360 market may have moved on while Sony is known for supporting their consoles after launch. Look at PSP currently in Japan and PS2 in third world countries today. There's still go...
Considering how short Code Veronica can be, it definitely should be less. It's an amazing game but it's also very old. If I can get a 100+ hour FF PS1 classic for $10 or less and PS2 classics for just as cheap, I don't see why a slight resolution update would constitute $10 extra dollars, especially when modern day PSN games offer as much or more content and look better for much cheaper.
As far as the article, it's a pretty good read. However I disagree that RE4 would ...
Actually the main team have been working on AC3 from AC2's release while other teams worked on Brotherhood and Revelations so AC3 has 3 year dev cycle which is longer than or the same length as most titles available today, excluding indie titles, of course.
I agree but I'd go further with it. Gameplay and the systems affecting it such as how you level or don't(such as the Witcher's system, Elder Scrolls's system, Demons Souls/Dark Souls type, the sphere grid from FF10, or one more like Amalur's), what you can customize and how much you can customize, story because it does affect how you play(what path you take, your motivations, etc.), the enemy design, what you interact with/affect, what you're doing, difficulty spikes/c...
If you have a decent online connection and want a decent MP shooter the Killzone 3 MP is free to play and pretty good. You have to pay to get the cap removed which is unnecessary to get several hours of enjoyment. The rest of this is for the North American PS Store and general tips so be mindful of this. While not free, the earlier Pixeljunk games are on sale for $1 a pop until this Tuesday for everyone. Next week there's going to be a huge Ubisoft sale including Rayman Origins for $15 an...
Proportionally that number is worse though. Game sales increased by about 9 million whereas the install base increased by 13.9 million which suggests people are buying less games per person or many of those consoles are people's second PS3. Software sales always increase with an active console's install base. However, because of increasing costs whether it be labor, inflation costs, or prices associated with new investment, the gaming industry is becoming less profitable year over yea...
The 2 million you heard was bull and the gap started as about 5 million and over he course of 5 years, Playstation 3 has sold about 2 million more than 360 if that is what the 2 million was referring to. If any information you got was VGchartz, assume it's false.
10 million is actually way less than what the 3DS will sell. 10 million isn't completely unrealistic if Sony manage a price drop down to 169.99 for a WiFi model with a 4gb card and $249.99 for the 3G with 8/16gb card before Christmas and had a few killer apps. Depending on how E3 and the rest of the year goes, Sony could pull it off
I'm pretty sure people are just figuring that because COD sells ridiculous numbers on consoles that it would get at least a few million to buy a Vita if you could play it anywhere. It's not that bad of an assumption but it would rely on Activision to market it because Sony hasn't known how to market a product since the PS2 days. Sony needs a Monster Hunter from Capcom but more importantly they still need to find their Pokemon/Mario type first party system seller for Vita. COD migh...
The only problem is RE4 would be COD4 in your analogy and COD hasn't done a lot to change it up since and many argue it's gotten worse rather than better. If RE5 was RE4 quality(how they set up the ambience and pacing, even if it wasn't scary), very few would have complained. That said I have still high hopes for Leon's campaign in RE6 after playing RE: Revelations which seems to be where they're going with it. That said RE4 and RE2 are still my favorites which is the main...
I miss when shows like Arena and Cinematech were on G4. How the moderately good have fallen.
Well that's not really much point in doing better than that. Sure they could get some ridiculous frame rate or 4K resolution but that just be way too expensive. I personally hope PS4 is around 4-5 times the power of Wii U rather than simply 2-3 times the power. 1080p and 60fps is impressive but until people see it used with some high profile game on Wii U, it's not all that impressive. For instance, if we had Retro make a 1080p 60fps Metroid Prime, a "realistic" art style fo...
