WiiFit? You've got to be kidding me. The whole arm-waving thing just isn't doing it for me, and the graphics on these games are hideous. How many umpteen Mario iterations can we have... especially when the story-line is the same every time. Princess Peach gets kidnapped, Mario saves the day. I mean, c'mon already... this is just one of those things I just don't get.
I agree that their marketing job is a lot more difficult. But let's face it, if the game gets good reviews when it ships, then it'll sell.
The guy floating is a bug that's easily recognizable and fixable. That's not an issue.
I think the bigger issue is the number of duplicates carrying pots, and the extremely lame combat. If 5 guys surround Altair, are they gonna go at him one at a time? That's bs. If that's the combat system, then count me out.

Hello... UT3 is exlusive to the PS3 this fall. And like, duh, do you think many other FPSs are going to do well on the 360 this fall? There's a little game called Halo 3 that's going to pretty much own the 360 gamers's lives from September on. Why wouldn't Epic take a little dough to keep their UT3 off the list of games that have to compete against Halo 3 on the 360? Hold the 360 version for 6 months, then ship it with all the maps they add on later.
That is a huge win there. Guild Wars on PS3? That rocks.

MSFT definitely took a calculated risk in showing only games -- with the exception of RE5 -- that are coming this holiday season. In other words, everything we already knew about.
By the way, I watched it on G4TV, and those nutjobs freaked out afterwards about RE5, claiming that it came from left field. WTF? RE5 was announced for next gen consoles a while ago. Why were they so freaked out by that.

Yet again Nintendo has a ton of first party games with their great franchises (Mario Galaxy & Kart, Smash Bros Brawl, Metroid).

I agree... the Wii lineup is lame. A bunch of peripherals... and then of course they don't even have the zapper usable with Metroid? L-a-m-e.
Maybe it's not a fad. Maybe everyone wants to play games that look like last gen provided they can wave their arms around and sweat. Ugh.

1. Cell processor not built just for gaming. Built by a combo of IBM, Sony and Toshiba, Cell is going to be seen in a lot of devices, not just the PS3.
2. Blu-Ray... it isn't half the price of the other Blu-Ray players, it's identical in price to other Blu-Ray players.
3. The PS3 WAS backwards compatible. They took the emotion engine out. Now it's not so much.
4. Sixaxis controllers... without rumble. Not sure this is the best selling point.

I almost agree with Pachter. I think the Elite comes down to $399 to keep the $100 advantage they have over Sony. I think the Premium comes down to either $329 or $349, but I think the Core goes to $199 or $229, BELOW the price of the Wii... and maybe even comes packaged with a game (PGR3? Kameo? Viva Pinata?)... something that pulls the kiddies in and gets the housewife to wonder "Wii or 360? The 360 is cheaper... and my hubby would love to play Gears... hmmmm."

Jack is nuts. First, they don't pay for exclusives. Now they have a 10 year lifespan. Not sure what he's smoking, but he should pass some around.
I can understand the desire to try to get to a 10 year lifespan, but saying it doesn't make it so. The PS2 is still going okay, but even that is seeing limited releases now, and it's only in its 8th year.

MSFT isn't going to crush the hype of Halo 3 by providing focus on Halo Wars. We might see an updated trailer or even some gameplay, but I seriously doubt we'll see a demo.
Blue Dragon, Ace Combat 6... I can see those. The release dates are relatively close, so having a demo up and running would make sense.
Halo 3 single player demo... hmm... it's difficult to believe that MSFT would actually need this to hype Halo 3 further, unless the plan was to reveal a few things (graphics enhancements, other weapons, etc.) that weren't in the multiplayer beta.
