Bought in January... 2 months after launch... and still going strong. I know a lot of folks who have suffered the RROD, but stop making it sound like it happens to everybody.
That's a great idea. Instead of having to worm through the marketplace for new arrivals, just have a monthly video magazine... do some video reviews from either OXM or partner with G4 or GameSpot or IGN to show some video reviews/previews, etc.
And hell, can we get some kind of schedule of what we'll be seeing on Arcade... maybe a month in advance would be nice.
I agree whole-heartedly. This is one thing PS3 and Nintendo have... hell, even the freakin' PSP can browse the web. C'mon, MSFT, you own IE... why no IE love on the 360?
The same issues from the E3 trailer are there. You fight in the center of a circle with four or five guys around you, and while you fight with one guy the others just watch? WTF? In one part of the video you actually see Altair pull off a finishing move by driving his sword into the stomach of a guy lying on the ground... and the guy RIGHT BEHIND ALTAIR WATCHES WITH YOU!!!
Either the AI is stupid as sin or the fighting system is ridiculously broken.

I think BB will continue to divest of its brick and mortar business in favor of its online component. Couple with that partnering with a digital download service (TiVo, Xbox Live, Playstation Network, etc.) and you'll see the BB brand thrive. The nature of the business is to change, and BB has been slow to do that, but they have enough resources at their disposal to ensure their future... provided they are smart enough to adapt with the times.
From morons. At the next election, I'd like to see a show of hands as to which candidates play games. Can we get some game-players in office so we can stop with all this BS? It's rated M. Keep your children from playing it.

I actually travel a little way to get to GameStop. I pass another GameStop on the way. Walmart, Target and Circuit City are all closer. However, the manager at the GameStop I go to knows me by name, has handled "special" requests (i.e., holds onto something if she knows I'm coming in for it that day), etc. She has earned my loyalty.

I totally agree on the trade ins. I've stopped trading things in there and sell them on eBay instead. Most of the time you can get 2x or 3x via eBay than what GameStop will give you. It's a rip off.
I'm extremely dubious of this article. Not only does it state that UT3 will be out in November (which I believe has already been announced as not happening), but is also states "This latest addition in the military/alien universe action series allows up to four players to compete against each other, collecting and protecting a series of tentacle orbs on a far-off world stocked with celestial palaces and rugged outdoor terrain."

Maybe Tim is sniffing out what the Internet buzz would be if such a game came to pass. All I can say is, "Bring it on!!!" The original was easily one of the best games for the original Xbox.
It's only $4 per month. For what you get, it's worth it.
Except that 1/2 of the games you listed are likely not going to ship in 2008. More "just wait" from Sony.
Seriously, I want a PS3... the price is finally within the ballpark, and there are finally games (HS, Uncharted, R&C) that I want to play. I'd say by mid-2008 I'll be picking one up.
