I really think some games should be kept single player only, and this is one of them. Or as an alternative, develop some games with single player only first, and release MP as DLC later. That would be the best of bost worlds without hindering either mode IMO.
4-2 are things that will almost surely be in the game anyway, 1 is a complete joke and 5 is the only one that actually should be on that list.
Besides #5 I want:
1. A big open SA-like world, with at least one mountain.
2. Planes to fly, Quads, tanks.
3. Decent rewards for the collectibles, as it was in VC and SA.
4. Snow and other weather effects.
Sweet, Vita seems to have just the capabilities which I've been longing for on handheld systems.
A weapon with a rotating barrel is not a chain gun btw.
"I am yet to play a core game which has been vastly improved due to the inclusion of motion controls."
You should try Killzone 3 then. After training for a while, I got better at it with Move than DualShock3.
This is the right direction for taking hardcore phone/tablet gaming closer towards reality. But dedicated handheld consoles still have the lead because who wants to carry a USB controller and a phone around to play hardcore games on the go? Also Android takes up more resources than the "OS" on dedicated handhelds, which leads to Android devices needing more power to compete with Vita graphically and physics-wise. Also Vita and 3DS still have the advantage of a lot better software su...
Meh, I'm bored of cookie cutter FPS games.
I'm personally anticipating The Last Guardian the most, but GTA V is definitely in my most wanted list for 2012. Both are certain day one purchases for me.
Las Venturas was my least favourite city in that game. But even if it ends up being Vegas, I won't mind because it won't be the same Las Venturas as in SA, and this time around it could improve a lot. I just hope the whole game isn't just one city again.
What? That song is horrible. It ruined to whole ad.
One of my favourites is the battle against the 16th Colossus in Shadow of the Colossus. The music is moody, epic and fits the situation and the colossus itself perfectly IMO.
The PS Vita FAQ from Sony says otherwise.
"Users can play games by just inserting the game medium into PS Vita. (a separate storage media is not required.)"

That's not true. Please read Misterhbk's post.
Read again. The title says: "Games Can Make You Extremely Intelligent And Successful"
And this is a quote from the article (which you obviously didn't read.)
"You see, there a very basic law of human nature. It’s a law that could be stated as “Variety is the spice of life.” Or it could be explained by saying that the hippocampus in the brain grow as we experience new things and as we learn. The more we learn and the more new activities we t...
8 is not a bad score at all. IMO even 9 is thrown around a bit too often. 10 should be a very rare score given only to a few games during a whole generation. I don't demand a game to be absolutely flawless to deserve a score of 10, because there is no such thing as a flawless game. But a game should come very close to that to deserve a score of 10.
To be honest, ever since Uncharted 1 I've hoped that we'd have a little bit more freedom. I'd like to see branchi...
Bringing back the large and open areas as seen in San Andreas is the most important thing for me. I want to get out of the city again.
Indeed. I'll be getting my copy of Uncharted 3 on the very same day too. Feels like an eternity.

Then why have both PS3 and X360 sold over 50 million units? Sure, they're behind Wii but we can't contribute that to the price completely, I'd say the early adoption of motion controls contributed to the sales of Wii even more than the price tag. And casual gamers can play "hardcore" games too and vice versa. It's not so black and white that casual gamers buy 3DS and hardcore gamers buy Vita.
Converting the Japanese prices straight to USD is not how it works, it's a lot more expensive in Japan and everybody knows that. Also there will be smaller and thus cheaper memory cards than the 64GB one too.
Bring back the large world of SA. Mountains, ocean, hills, desert, beaches, forests, several big cities and small villages, long highways. That's want I want the most from GTA V.
Some good points there, but in the end I think complex hardcore games are here to stay. That hardcore market might take a hit with time if casual gaming keeps growing at the same pace it has in the last couple of years, but I believe that there are a lot of devs out there who would want to keep making big hardcore games. And even if some of them jumped ship to develop casual games for phones and tablets, there will always be new developers who want to create complete and immersive experiences...
