I think most people are not so eager to get FF13-2 after the generally disappointing FF13.
Knowing Square-Enix today, there's a good chance to destroy a classic too. I hope they don't touch the gameplay and minigames at all.
That's the price you pay with portability compared to a home console. Some Vita games look better than most PS3 launch games so it's not that bad IMO. But I wouldn't know if that's good enough for you or not because unlike you, I often play older games too.
TM will probably be one of the few games I will buy mostly for multiplayer.
LA Noire wasn't the most fun game out there with all kinds of fun stuff to do and fool around, but one should keep in mind the fact that it never was supposed to be that. What LA Noire did was give us a good story in a different kind of game. I believe the dumbed down action sequences were made like that on purpose, because shooting and killing played a lesser role in this game. Despite it's flaws, the interrogation system was the true star of this game. The feeling you get when you k...
Exactly. I have a decent mobile "broadband" network on my SGS2 and I can just create a hotspot and use that on a wifi model. Saving money when I buy Vita and over time because there won't be any additional contract bills.
That's like looking at a very good car for a generous price and saying "no thanks, I have feet".
I don't recall seeing "Xbox 360 is DOOMED!!1" article after article after article when it had proprietary hard drives and a 70€ wifi adaptor. All I remember was that when someone brought it up all we got was excuses and "bububut, those things are not needed, because PS3 has no games hurrdurr".
Don't get me wrong I don't like the proprietary cards either but having them doesn't mean that Vita is doomed.
MP? No thanks. Horde mode? Meh. 90% of the time I find both to get boring very fast and to me they have no real value in most games.
A very good read and I agree with the article from beginning to end. I may have considered Uncharted 3 to be my GOTY for 2011, but I bought this game a bit late and this was overall a more enjoyable experience for me. A very welcome change of pace in this action-filled era of video games.
Are you kidding me? Getting a super glitchy version of a great game is the best thing that happened to PS3 last year?
I know, thus my comment which proves the statement "PC does everything" to be wrong.
PC does Uncharted 3 and all the other console exclusives?
I don't know about other countries, but here in Finland if you go to a store and buy a brand new full retail game it's 69,95€, that's 90$. Things are a bit cheaper online of course but they're still way above american prices. And yes, I know Finland's tax rates etc are contributing to that high price, but even with the extra tax it still shouldn't be that much more expensive.
I'm sure it's a great game, but perfect? I doubt it.
I actually hope all of those annoying little "minigames" are required for the platinum rather than it have a completely crappy trophy list like RE4 has.
Let's have trophies for getting all the ultimate weapons, hunting all monsters, beating all monsters at the arena, opening all nodes on the sphere grid and defeating the Dark Aeons and Penance so we can see who's who. That would be epic.
If you want japanese you can always import the japanese version you know.
If it's a remake I hope they don't touch the content itself such as minigames and battle system, but just remake the same game with new graphics and upgraded sound effects.
I'd say Monster Hunter selling more than all Vita launch games combined during a holiday week is expected, instead of fail. I think MH is the CoD equivalent of Japan (when it comes to sales).
FF12 is one of my favourite games of all time. I know that not all feel the same way, but it's a far better RPG and FF game than FF13 was.
