Is it better to have more proven franchises or more fresh titles? This applies to all of the MGS, Halos, Splinter Cells, Ratchets. Are those franchises based on more of the same type of game concept but with a refinery of improved aspects, or do they offer something we have never seen? Would a ‘new and unproven’ games chart be useful and then who would have newer, original titles? I say that games like HS, Afrika, Uncharted and Too Human, Bioshock, Alan Wake are certainly intriguing.
I still prefer more PS3 games, but it puts a lot of things in perspective like how the 360 has more upcoming proven franchises, I'd think Sony would be in that position. I'm guessing PC games has something to do with that.

God Of War 2 is better than the first one. Killzone is also making a jump to next-gen, so I expect it to be better. I bet you Sony wouldn't have supported this game again if they didn't see something that would benefit them. The game is such a mystery though...

What you're saying is very true, although I do think that the PS3's install base will do more than just double by the end of the year due to more games being readily available. But the thing is, we don't have a clue of what kind of exclusive deals that Sony and Konami/Kojima Productions may have in place. Maybe SNE has a deal to provide all of the tools and all of the necessary support to lower the development cost, or something along those lines. Hell, I wouldn't mind a bit if they ported th...

This doesn't suck because Kojima Productions knows what they're doing with this game and if they think it needs to be delayed than good for the game. I'll still wait until official word though.

'cause it has aliens? Wasn't Resistance a launch title, and weren't the devs new to the system? It didn't support texture streaming, but it had a ton of things going on at once, and there was never any lag. This game is a completely different game and it looks more modern. This is a 5min. demo, sure the GFX look really good, but how deep is the gameplay? We'll find out.

I don't think the game is that bad either. While it does need A LOT of improvements, I find the swinging to be very enjoyable and the interactives can be cool too. Hell, it's more fun than Def Jam Icon & Armored Core 4.
Good job Ken, keep pushing the latter. Now let's see what these devs will pull off with your cell+rsx+blu-ray combo.
