Now that Final Fantasy 13 is going multiplatform, this is the only other game (apart from MGS4 which was a disappointment) that I had in mind when I decided to buy the PS3. Hopefully, it will be released sometime next year at least.
But the idea of a little boy becoming a giant robot-like knight seems like a concept taken from very old school Japanese cartoons - shades of Ultraman? We'll have to wait and see how that turns out I suppose.
There, it has been admitted. Nasim is on Sony's payroll. Never thought a multi billion corporation would stoop so low as to exploit retard labor, but Nasim's case is conclusive evidence.
With all the effort by Microsoft into giving the Japanese the JRPGs they want, I too am glad that there's been some positive response. Sony made the mistake of not feeding the Sony fans any JRPGs. Thankfully, White Knight Chronicles is coming out, otherwise I would imagine that Sony might start losing the JRPG crowd altogether.
Pretty good achievement that heh.
But what will the haters say?
Bah! Another game without trophy support for PS3 version. What's the point of this trophy system really? Isn't it supposed to reward you for ALL games that you play?
To be honest, I prefer to keep my hopes low as far as JRPGs are concerned. JRPGs just do not offer anything progressive in terms of gameplay.
I've played both demos on the consoles I own (I had Motorstorm demo on my PS3 for a looong time during that period of drought of PS3 games) and Pure was just so much more engaging.
Taking 3-6 months to localize the game is to be expected. But the point is that's 3-6 months from December 2008, which means 6 to 9 months from now. So the celebrations are premature for that reason, other reason being no one knows how this game is going to turn out to be like.
For the record, I have high hopes for this game too, and I am looking forward very much to playing some exclusive JRPGs on a Japanese console. But that was more than a year ago when the anticipation b...
That makes your collective contrived celebration pretty premature doesn't it?
The comedians are at it again. White Knight has suddenly become bigger than Final Fantasy.
I wonder how many installs will be necessary on the PS3 if they need the game to be on 2 DVDs?
The droids don't care. They don't care about anything. No games, delayed games, inferior games, inferior online, inferior console capabilities requiring harddisk installs, horrible implementation of trophies, no Home, wait wait wait. PS3 is still the best, always, no matter what. Who cares indeed.
It is too late for Sony to do anything about this holiday unless they too do a price drop and bleed more.
2008 was supposed to be the year of the PS3. That has been pushed back till 2009.
Some people stubbornly refuse to understand that the reason the overhyped MGS4 does not sell much notwithstanding the massive hype is precisely because it is not a game/ movie that many people like to play/ watch.
There is absolutely no need for Microsoft to adopt blu-ray this gen. As demonstrated by the PS3, there's simply no advantage to be had from blu-ray for the purposes of gaming. The time needed to install and load is better spent switching discs if you must play games that emphasize heavily on cinematics.
You know a game has a lot of potential when the droids feel threatened.
Actually, you have spoken the ugly truth that some of us PS3 owners loathe to admit. The only game I'm waiting for on PS3 is LBP. Resistance 2 and Socom are going to be so overshadowed by Gears 2 and who needs Motorstorm 2 when there's Pure? On the other hand, there's nothing on the PS3 that is remotely like Fable 2, so you can understand why the haters are flocking here desperately trying to dismiss it.
But there is surely more sense, logic and rationale in Bruce's single article than the combined PS3 fanboy rantings above, below and just about everywhere else on this forum?
Is Peter Moore allowed to talk about all this? I would have thought that his employment contract would have contained a confidentiality clause somewhere.
