So many haters here venting their anger and frustration at how PS3's best game turned out to be a casual game rather than an epic RPG.
First NBA09, now this. Do I hear the sound of fangirls crying again?
Really? I didn't realize less content = best version.
Looks like I was right in predicting that Pure would be the better off-road racer. I tried the demo of MS2 and it didn't impress the way Pure did.
So... when will you guys tire of saying "wait and see"? Even before PS3 launched, you soothsayers have been making wild predictions that never ever come true. Surely it must suck to always have your predictions proven wrong??
Poor NBA 09 exclusive to PS3. I wonder how much sales it will generate in the face of 2 far superior multiplatform games.
I'm not sure that Sackboy is going to be the next Mario after just one appearance, but what I know is that Sackboy is going to be the console defining game for PS3 and Sackboy is going to be the new leader in the genre of 2D platformers and maybe even all of casual gaming. Kudos to Sony for that.
Marcus Fenix with a chainsaw would be more appealing.
I for one do not look forward to this game coming on the 360. The game simply does not deserve that kind of attention.
I am glad that the PS3 finally got its console-defining game. I had expected that game to be of a more epic action or story-oriented genre (like MGS4 which didn't do it for me or FFXIII), but I guess a game along the lines of Mario isn't that bad since I respect Nintendo's gaming tradition (hopefully obnoxious PS3 owners will learn to appreciate Nintendo too after this game, but from some of the comments above, maybe not...). LBP has certainly taken the genre at least a few steps forward an...
Sony is losing substantial market share. Big deal. That was predicted and foreseen 2 years ago. The game plan was always there. First to establish sizeable install base, and quickly win over the developers. Nintendo suppressing Sony in Japan at launch helped. Sony also helped dig its own grave by making the PS3 expensive and difficult to program for. It was bound to happen, no biggie. Important thing is LBP, WKC and KZ2.
Of course there are reasons for the increased sales of 360. There will always be reasons for sales. The lower price is there to stay. The great games continue to roll in. So 360 will continue to sell better.
Sony had the advantage of immense brand loyalty in Japan but they squandered it. People who bought the PS3 waiting for JRPGs were literally sitting there waiting for over a year. Now they see an equally powerful system out there which they traditionally stay away from...
You have a right to be dumb.
I have a bad feeling that it is going to be another case of Trophies.
Who would have thought that 360 would ever beat PS3 in Japan? The arrogant fanboys dismissed it as a spike that would last no more than a week, but apparently not. Indeed it is a sign of the changing tide.
Stop it droids, just stop it. Forget your fiction and face the facts. It is OVER droids. O V E R.
We've heard your SAME LAME SORRY EXCUSES the whole of this year, last year, the year before.
You erroneously presumed MGS4 was going to be your saviour.
You stupidly proclaimed that FFXIII was going to be your vindicator (bwahahaha!).
You stubbornly insisted that Tekken 6 was going to be your redemption (for having a crap version of VF5 - ...
Hmm, an admission by a PS3 fanboy that HS < NG2 and Heavy Rain < Alan Wake (though I question your credibility since neither Heavy Rain nor Alan Wake are released, but I guess you have little confidence in PS3 and rightfully so based on track record). Very rare indeed.
You guys sound like a bunch of whiney girls who have just been spurned by an ex-lover and you are therefore now alleging he had a small member anyway...
Do try to take the news in stride - it is just a wise business decision, not a personal rejection I'm sure.
Standard harddisk and reliability are the only things that have proven to be gaming advantages for the PS3 over the 360 so far. Not blu-ray, not the cell, not the controller, not the exclusive games (I might change my mind maybe when LBP comes out...) and certainly not PSN.
And my view is that you are an unadulterated Sony fanboy of the highest order.
