Stop lying to yourself to defend your precious few exclusives. I've played both Motorstorm demo and Pure demo, and it is obvious Pure is by far the better game. What Motorstorm 2 is going to be is anyone's guess, but if it follows its predecessor, it isn't likely to be better than Pure.

JRPGs have generally lost their appeal because they follow the same formula all the time - heavy emphasis on linear storytelling, limited gameplay options, too many cutscenes. Even the storytelling has become somewhat formulaic. JRPGs need to seriously reinvent themselves in order to compete with Western RPGs. I got bored fast with Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon, and while Lost Odyssey held my attention for a while, it did not excite me much.
