You're mistaken. As must be apparent, the Sony Executive was comparing their actual consoles SOLD to the consoles SHIPPED by MS. It doesn't make sense for Sony to compare figures on any other basis.
Actually that does really put things into perspective doesn't it? Against a console with RROD, no blu-ray and online that isn't free, it speaks volumes that PS3 has yet to overtake 360 after so many years.
As I recall, at about the time when it was announced that FFXIII was going to the 360, many emotionally unstable PS3 fans shifted their allegiance to WKC almost immediately, claiming that Level 5 had a stellar record and in contrast Square has gone downhill. That was quite a long time ago (probably during that time when one Nasim was prolifically posting on this forum), so don't expect me to go search those old posts. But honest folk who do not swim in the Nile all know that did happen, and...
Unfortunately this isn't a college test and the fact is that PS3 fans have been waiting for this hyped-up, supposed FF-killer, game since 3 years ago which looks set to disappoint.
This is an interesting game, probably worth a look even if it obviously won't appeal to too many people.
Bioware is really showing us what they are capable of doing when they are focused in their game development. Mass Effect 2 is simply light years ahead of Dragon's Age on the technical front. It is clear now that Dragon's Age was held back because of multi-console development.
Can't wait to drive a GT2!
If you're into gameplay, this game is a gem. If you're into pretty graphics and not really that much a gameplay person, this game will probably rank lower than some of the more hyped up h&s games due to be released next year.
Great and fair review with differing opinion.
They're both in the hack and slash genre and play the same way. Why can't they be compared?
I'll be honest here, the time trial demo of GT really pales in comparison to Forza 3.
In all honesty, I think Mr. Yamauchi should spend more hours on the GT game, brushing up his design and programming skills 'cos the GT franchise for this generation is slacking far behind and driving 25 hours isn't going to do anything for the game.
I did think that Uncharted 2 would be deserving of GOTY, but that's before I played Assassin's Creed 2. AC2 is imo the more deserving GOTY unless you're a driving simulator fan.
Of course PSXEXTREMEFANBOY would be upset about this game since it is vastly inferior on the PS3, but Bayonetta's gameplay speaks for itself as to why it has already burst the GOW3 bubble even before GOW3 has been released.
Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, God of War 3, buying them in that order.
Downloaded this last night. Car modeling is good, the rest of it not so.
I think you're obviously a moron 'cos all the reportedly bad things about FFXIII are related to gameplay design, which are very traditionally JRPG, and nothing to do with technical problems, so it really must take a complete tool to try to pin those faults on a game going multiplatform or trying to appeal to the west.
Yeah, so many demos of this game, it is almost like they're just trying to buy time to get the actual game working.
I don't care what you call Prologue, if it was a demo, it was overpriced, if it was a full game, it failed. I call all this a cop out and a con job. First GTHD, then Prologue, then a regression to a bare demo (um so what's the point of all 3 again?). In the same time, other companies have released great, great games. Only fanboys can be forgiving towards Polyphoney.
I can't imagine how a company in such an unenviable position can make such arrogant remarks.
