My prediction is that Move will be the LEAST successful of the 3, for the simple reason that it is the most optional device of the 3 console systems. For Wii, the whole console concept is defined by the Wii Mote, so the success of the console will as much ensure the success of the Wii Mote as vice versa. Natal is a periphery to the 360, but it appears to be a dedicated system to motion control games as much as it is also an optional device, and there will be games designed specially for Nat...
Doletskaya is precisely right. How else do you play a pretty linear FAST PACED action game like GOW3 except run through the areas killing whatever pops up, play the mini-games, solve the puzzles and move on to the next level? This is no RPG or open world sandbox game where you can take a slow stroll around the city interacting with its denizens or smelling the roses, and to suggest you can do that shows just how utterly ABSURD fanboys can be when trying to defend the longevity of their excl...
That idea is fine if they're just mini game sequences. But they need to seriously rethink the core RPG elements in their gameplay.
Being story driven isn't the problem with FFXIII. Lacking gameplay and immersion is the problem.
What is the point of laboriously and painstakingly creating a big beautiful and intriguing world when all that the gameplay allows you to do is run along a straight and narrow path that so utterly and completely alienates you from the wondrous world seen in the cinematics?
My view that Japanese software developers are losing their edge has been fortified by FFXIII. ...
The AAA exclusives keep pouring in! Can't wait!
Its due to the demographics of the PS3 gamers that Square wanted the game to appeal to.
Really? I bought my PS3 after the 360, I still play the 360 more.
Lazy devs, bad port, etc.
Why of course kids, every demo we've played has seen a generational leap in graphics in the final build, why should this be any different, especially when fanboys have confirmed it for you?
Precisely.
Yup, I played the demo some time ago which came with the GOW 1 & 2 collection. I played through 1 and 2 before redeeming the code for the demo and it appears to be basically the same gameplay but a leap in graphics. The leap in graphics is of course outstanding after playing 1 & 2, but it is not beyond expectations of current gen games.
I note you're a clown, but you're trying too hard, sorry.
A tad generous with the score imo, especially if you felt most of the game sequences were pointless. But fair comments.
Yup, synonymous with overhyped latecomer.
Fanboys just love hyping up PS3 exclusives time again and again and again ad nauseum... Give us a break, a lot of us have both consoles and we know UC2 and GOW3 (demo) ain't all you're saying it is. Doesn't look better than big budget multiplatform games and that's the truth.
Not too excited about this game, having tried the demo. GOW III is just so much more exciting.
What I do know is it will have a really tough time topping Forza 3. Good luck Polyphony, and hope all that waiting was worthwhile for the PS3 only fans.
They forgot the biggest fail of console history ever - the PS3 itself, going from far ahead 1st place to dead last in market share.
Great review! Looks like GT5 has a lot to live up to!
So you're playing the better version of a crap game. So what?
