I READ the article and cite the following extract:-
"Gran Turismo is a great game. It’s been a huge franchise, a huge part of many gamers kind of history of their gaming and I got a lot of respect for Kazunori Yamauchi and his whole team at Polyphony Digital. You know, GT5: Prologue isn’t a full game obviously, so it’s not far to compare to that. I don’t know when GT5 is going to come out, so we’ll see. What I do know is that I think our visions, the vision of Kazunori and...
I've only just started playing this game. I like the combat system a lot, but the world does not (yet) seem as interactive as Oblivion. Looks like a very promising game though. With Dragon's Age around the corner, I'll be having my fill of fantasy RPG.
9.3 was sort of an average of the scores I gave to the various aspects of the game, and in this case, the average score seemed to represent well how I felt about the game in totality. The starting point is that no complaints about the game doesn't mean I felt the game was perfect. If there had been sufficient cause for a complaint, then the score would probably have been below 9 (depending on the nature of the complaint). So I gave a 9 for sound and gameplay because while they were obvious...
I can't say I found anything wrong with the game as it was thoroughly enjoyable, but I would have thought the score I gave it reflects just that. 9+ is a very high score in my books.
Well, I would put it this way, giving a 10/10 to the King of all racers is appropriate, and it will be a standard that Polyphony, even with all those extended years of development, will have great difficulty matching up to.
You are wrong. The crown was taken away from GT the moment Forza 1 came out. GT has not been able to reclaim the crown since. You have professed your ignorance, so your ill-informed comments are forgiven.
There's a reason why he's just an employee and staying that way. That's a very typically peasant mindset right there, thinking the game is over for 360 in Japan.
"There is, however, the best possible reason for that - and the longer you spend with the game, the less you care. Turn 10 has sacrificed flash for a faultless 60 frames a second, and understood that in simulation, what you feel is far more important than what you see. It has diverted all of the 360's resources to giving you the smoothest, most believable, most physically rewarding drive you've ever had. Who cares what the scenery or the tyre-smoke look like when your eyes are laser-focu...
I don't understand why Polyphony just won't post more of the ingame driving graphics instead of these bullshots.
Unbelievable! Best game just got better!
I think the whole idea of console gaming is simplicity. Just pop the disc in, sit down on the couch and play off a comfortable handheld gamepad.

Right on, the bar set by the King won't be touched any time soon, at least not till Forza 4.
Power of the c3ll ftw
Haha! Where's Poly Phoney? What a disgrace that they didn't make a PS site's top 8 list but their competition did!

I presume that as a matter of national pride and glory, Famitsu is obliged to reserve the perfect score for their made-in-Japan driving simulator.

A fair review. Only rabid fanboys would think otherwise, and there appears to be a lot above.
Basically, doing all he can to match Forza 3. That's an admirable goal, even if somewhat idealistic.

Shift is better than that pirated copy of Forza you have?
King of racers, driving games, driving simulators. Forza 3 is pristine and elaborate without equal.
I do believe that this game will be the best of its cartoon, beat 'em up genre for this year on all consoles.
