I thought it was a great game, pretty creative.. not sure where all the hate is coming from, other than the sloppy PC port.
The funny thing is that mass effect is the kind of game that could easily have new endings added without sacrificing the current ending.. the entire series is about making your own story.
Statements like these would have credibility if a programmer was saying them, not a creative director.
I like this idea (if it were referring to a game that wasn't being localised at all) - but I wish it were for other games, I have never heard of this series and to be honest it doesn't seem like one that interests me. I would rather see Valkyria Chronicles 3 or Tales of Vesperia PS3.
So basically none of this stuff is new or exclusive to the GTX 680, unlike what the video would like us to believe..
Still thinking about buying a 680 when they are back in stock anyway.
Weren't they demoing the cloth physics with Mirror's Edge? Pushing liquids around seems new though.
Online pass probably wouldn't exist if the console could restrict used games - probably by reading some unique value on the disc and registering that to your account. Maybe that could screw up too, who knows, I think it would be less likely since it doesn't require input from the player.
Also remember that even though you're buying all new games, you're still supplying the used market, and someone else is buying your used copies. I rarely buy used, and I don...
yep, good thing. I don't understand the logic of giving money to a company that keeps fucking up.
Being able to see the edges of the maps is better?
cool story
I guess this article isn't about the developers that work for the company - because they are pretty scummy in that respect.
Pretty much. And there won't be a new ending - he wants to balance fan feedback and "artistic integrity". There's no real balance when the fan reaction is "make a completely different ending", so we'll have to stick with the shitty endings and the dlc will cover some plotholes or something..
Ending comparison.

So basically we all got the "ran out of dev time" ending.
True, but what I'm trying to say is it can be done right. I wonder how successful steam's method is compared to PSN/XBL methods. If ridiculous sales have been helping Valve/publishers/developers then it's only a matter of time before everyone adjusts.
Have you seen steam prices?
Yeah technology will stand still. We'll never see faster speeds or faster hardware or larger disk sizes.
You do realize he said he is "looking forward to" this happening, meaning in the future, not this very second?
Seriously, grow up and admit there's things about the industry you don't understand.
Lazy developers.. yeah, working 12-14 hour days for weeks on end to meet a milestone, so lazy. We just sit around watching youtube videos and watch the money roll in.
Herp derp why are people disagreeing with me when I start my post with "Hey PC elitists".
I'm sick of hearing everyone say "lazy developers". You don't work in the industry, therefore you don't understand how the industry works. There are so many decisions made that don't reflect the studio's opinion, or individuals within that studio. Also, a studio isn't one person. Not everyone in a studio feels the same way, has the same opinion, or is responsible for problems with a product. Nor do they have control over what a publisher says/thinks/does.
Glad I didn't give them any clicks - hurray for comments.
