He did answer that question: The game is finished months before it hits the shelves, meaning the disc content is finalized! Certification takes a long time and you can't add more content to the disc without re-certifying (which is expensive and time consuming).
Not even sure why I read the comments on articles about John Carmack, every time I do it's full of little babies who don't know a thing about game development.
wait you think next playstation and xbox will be roughly as powerful as wii U? The current generation is already roughly as powerful as Wii U..
The opposite - they were ignoring the PS3.
Yeah but that requires a bit of know-how, and the average PS3 owner probably wouldn't know what to look for or realize you could do that, unlike people commenting here..
It's not going to be 16GB, not when so many games require installs and are easily 1-4GB, sometimes larger.
Valve sort of makes platform exclusives - you can't play any of their games on anything but Steam on PC. Also sounds like they learned from their mistake wrt the PS3.
The factory OC'd versions of 670 are faster all around than the 7970, and retailing for less money, so hopefully AMD prices their cards accordingly. They are also faster than stock GTX 680 so kind of confused about what they were going for there.. maybe because GTX 680 had such low supply.
BF3 campaign was definitely chasing CoD - which sucks because I really enjoyed bad company 1 for it's openness.
The flaw with that argument is that anyone who buys the console itself can develop for it, which means we have no idea who is backing this project based on tiers alone. I probably shouldn't have made it sound like I had facts behind me - it's more that I find it hard to believe that people are jumping on this with almost no information. We've only seen renders of the console and it's controller, we've seen a basic list of hardware, and we know the software will be F2P in s...
A huge portion of that money is from developers rather than customers.
Not really a rumour, it was in the trailer.
Surprise, it's from Kotaku.
Really wish Activision didn't have a chokehold over this franchise - could be a really good series of games otherwise.
It's funny that 99% of the time that someone doesn't like something, it's overrated.
I like trent's music quite a bit, but I'm the last person you'll see defending CoD. I don't think it's a very good game but I can see the things it really excels at.
What are you talking about? He wrote the theme song.. what does that have to do with sound design? All it really means is the theme song will probably be good.
Steam registries for the game were found last year, so it's entirely possible it will be released for steam. I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't.
Finally, someone talks sense.
It's pretty clear he's arguing about "bigotry" and "prejudice", notice the quotes. If you think women MP characters weren't included because of bigotry, then you are the problem, not the developers.
You're talking about something different - I'm not arguing about the lack of content in the retail game, I'm just saying this is why DLC can't be on disc if it's being worked on while the game is certifying.
If it's already on the disc, and you're just buying an unlock, then that means they completed the DLC in parallel to the retail game and they're trying to nickel and dime you.
One major difference between current gen and l...
