For me, the worst design flaw is the D pad on the pro controller. Good luck playing Tetris 99 with it!
I guarantee you the number of gamers who actually care about this issue is FAR outweighed by the number of mouthpieces on social media that won't shut up about it.
Most families don't own four different consoles either.
Nintendo is trying to have their cake and eat it too by making 3DS budget games, passing them off as AAA experiences, and charging full price for them. That is horsecrap! Yoshi's CW...frankly...Is a 39.99 game at best!
@Starchild
And what are all these metacritic darlings on PC that can't be played on console?
PC exclusives, by and large, are garbage. Most of the ones that are worth anything are ported to console eventually anyway.
Not really surprised. It's a weak offering, especially at 60.00.
How about this. How about we let the game developers make whatever they want and let it find its audience instead of gamers acting like game development is a "joint effort" endeavor between developers and consumers. If you find a game to be too hard for you, then the game is obviously not for you. Move on and find a game that is for you. The onus is on YOU to find a game that suits your gaming taste, not the developers! If it's a game as a service, that's one thing wher...
God yes! R&C remains one of the best games on PS4!
Uh, NO! That is not how creativity works and that is not how art gets made! Game creation should be 100% up to the publishers/developers, not the consumers! Publishers and developers are the ones risking everything to make a game. They invest MILLIONS of dollars and thousands of hours in creating these games, therefore they are the ones who should decide the creative vision! You dont like what they make? Dont buy it! The day developers start taking marching orders from the gamers is t...
No it needs to be whatever the creators decide they want it to be.
They're getting destroyed by the rise of digital purchasing and cheaper online shopping. It's that simple.
Circling the drain.
What's ridiculous is Nintendo charging 60.00 for a glorified 3DS game. This, along with Kirby are at best 39.99 experiences. These are not ambitious AAA titles like Zelda or Mario Odyssey. However Nintendo is trying to have its cake and eat it too. They want to release games on Switch with a "3DS" level budget and scope, but charge AAA game prices for them!
Until Witcher 3 came out this gen, what other open world RPG on Skyrim's level of scale and scope was superior Graphically? Really the only Bethesda game that's come out since Skyrim that's looked dated is Fallout 4. TESO and Fallout 76 I wouldnt really count, as MMOS typically arent as graphically impressive as stand alone single player games .
It's also marred by a ridiculous asking price. This is a glorified 3DS game, being sold at a AAA price. Nintendo has no business selling this game at 60.00. It is at best a 39.99 game. They're trying to have their cake and eat it too by making games at a 3DS level development budget and selling them at a AAA price. They did the same thing with Kirby Star Allies, another glorified 3DS game.
Not true at all. When Oblivion came out for the 360 it did not look a generation behind. It was gorgeous.
Said me ever. Stop stating opinion as fact. I prefer the DS4. One thing Fritzwochel didn't mention is the face buttons. I MUCH prefer the flatter, softer face buttons on DS4 to the rounder, hardened "jewel" buttons on the Xbox controller. I also prefer the symmetrical analog sticks over the asymmetrical design. After gaming on both for many hours, the DS4 is just more comfortable in my hands. The only design aspect of the X1 controller I prefer is the individual motorized tr...
That's exactly right. The reason Switch is doing so well is because of the mobile functionality, which is highly coveted in Japan. If this were strictly a home console it would not be doing as well.
Everything listed seems plausible and reasonsble. Though im not sure how realistic it would be to expect better battery life with a bigger, higher res screen and more processing power.
