Sony should consider re-packaging and re-launching this game with all of the updates included. Considering the fact that the PS4 doesn't have a Gran Turismo game, Driveclub is a perfect game to market to the racing crowd. I would even consider doing a PS4 Driveclub bundle.
You know what sucks? Playing the bikes for hours and then going back to cars! Holy crap it's like I had to re-learn how to play Driveclub again!
Serious question, do you ever just play games and not obsess over individual graphic techniques? Seems to me you are robbing yourself of the joy of gaming. 99.9% of gamers couldn't care less about terms like "LOD's"
No, it's time to put the damn franchise on the shelf for about 3 years.
I think the issue primarily is that the Vita was targeted at the young adult audience and the problem with that is young adults by and large just don't carry around dedicated handheld consoles. They would much prefer to carry their mobile phones and game on that. By contrast, the DS/3DS is targeted towards young kids who DO carry dedicated handhelds.
Is that how you pronounce it? For some reason I was thinking it's pronounced "nigh-ear"
Wow! What a great surprise! I'm glad to see Driveclub continue to be supported and exist in other forms! Hopefully this will turn into a full-fledged title!
"we have more exclusives (more than Xbox One, PS4, PS3, 360, and Wii U COMBINED)"
Uh huh, and how many of those "exclusives" are Steam-based shovelware?
The number of PC titles certainly is quite prolific but how much of it are complete and utter garbage titles?
Now please excuse me while I go play Batman Arkham Knight in an optimized, bug-free manner. Don't you have a hard drive to de-frag or something?
I really want this game. Not sure why I've put off picking it up but need to get it. I'm hoping it will eventually be retrofitted with VR support.
I'm really surprised Sony didn't announce VR support for this at their conference yesterday. We've seen footage at Hello Games Studios where they have PSVR prototypes on their desks, so I assume support is going to happen. I'm just wondering when they're going to make it official.
For some reason, Dreams just is not connecting with me at all. I've been a huge supporter of Media Molecule from the beginning but they have completely lost me with Dreams. If all Dreams is is a bunch of creation tools, like Project Spark, then they're not getting my money. Little Big Planet allowed us to create levels, but the foundation of that game was a very good platformer. I'm not seeing this at all with Dreams. If I wanted to get into level design, I'd go back to sc...
I was kind of surprised that Sony didn't announce VR support for No Man's Sky. I was hoping that would be one of the surprise unveils. Maybe at PSX.
Outside of occasional indie support, Vita is done. The market has spoken and consumers just don't want it. Sad because it's a great hand held but mobile phone gaming is killing it.
I agree 100% with you that E3's presentation was better.
In terms of games...I don't know man its close. E3 was great but PGW was no slouch. Detroit, GT:Sport with VR Support, Robinson The Journey, Gravity Rush 2, Wild, Boundless, Matterfall, bikes for Driveclub, No Man's Sky release date announced, Tekken 7 with VR support announced, new Ratchet and Clank trailer, new footage of SW:Battlefront, etc. I thought the showing was very solid!

So has anyone tried the motorcycles out yet? How do they handle?
Then you're probably going to be disappointed. That's what Quantic Dream does. You either embrace it or you don't.
I'd say it will be a first person mode where you use the Move controllers or something to that effect.
"But the world is not what I imagined. It is dark and cold. It is harsh and violent, unfair and brutal."
No, that's Detroit!
Very cool! Driveclub has consistently been my favorite game this generation! I'm glad to see Evolution continue to support it!
I'm still very curious to see how they plan on handling controller lag with frame interpolation being implemented to get 120hz per eye.
