They're going to have to provide a lot of opportunity for people to demo it themselves. That's the only way people are going to be convinced to try it out and it can't just be at "select Best Buys." Sony is going to have to put demo units in every Gamestop, Target, Wal Mart, Best Buy, etc across the country along with some good sales people. Otherwise this is going to forever be a niche item.
First of all, the NX NEEDS to launch with a great Mario title! I always feel that a Nintendo console needs to launch with a Mario game.
Also I hope they are developing a new Metroid Prime game. The original Gamecube game is still one of my all time favorite video games ever! I'd love to see a proper follow up.
I'd also love to see a proper sequel to Luigi's Mansion. I really had a blast playing the 3DS version and I'd love to see a sequel w...
The difference there is that Sony is co-funding and co-developing SF5 with Capcom. Otherwise the game would not exist at all. Tomb Raider is an entirely different situation. It was going to be multi console regardless. However MS basically shelled out a ton of cash for the sole purpose of keeping the game out of the hands of PS4 owners this holiday season.
"if you are letting reviewers make up your mind, you have bigger problems"
Comments like these always amusing me. Just because some people like to use reviews as a source for helping them to make an informed purchasing decision doesn't make them mindless automatons.
A ridiculous analogy.
Tomb Raider has always been a multi-console property. The first iteration of the reboot was multiconsole. This is not a 1st party IP or one that MS co-funded to develop as was the case with Sony and Street Fighter V. If that were the case I would be more understanding. This is Crystal Dynamics making a decision to accept Microsoft's offer for up front cash to keep it out of the hands of an entire userbase for an extended period of time. Essentially...
So you're a multi-console owner. Good for you. Not everyone is so fortunate.
But hey, that's OK because fanboy critics are awarding it 9's and 10's anyway so why should we complain, right?
Yeah I get that, and really my rant is more about gaming journalism in general and not Fallout 4 in particular. I'm very much looking forward to playing F4 but I'm not going to buy it until the issues are fixed. I just think awarding these perfect scores left and right is getting a bit silly.
I think what would be more fair would be to review a game in the state that it's in at the time it's being reviewed and then if patches/updates come out that improve the...
Odd to me that a game that is riddled with framerate issues and bugs at launch gets a perfect score. Geez are there any true critics out there anymore? It seems like almost every game that comes out now from a major developer/publisher gets nothing less than a 7.5/10.
As a PS4 owner, I'll look forward to playing this next year when I buy it used. Since Crystal Dynamics/Squaresoft decided not to sell it to me this year, I'll return the favor next year by not buying it from them.
I hope like hell the shark tank experience is packed in with the headset!
It doesn't need 60fps. The game is smooth as silk and has a terrific sense of speed. Any one openly criticizing Driveclub because of framerate is only interesting in getting into a pissing contest. The games framerate is perfectly fine as-is.
Nintendo caught lightning in a bottle with a gimmicky control scheme that everyone's grandmother bought! I wouldn't use that as any kind of measuring stick for future success in the console business.
Oh please. So Nintendo produces an underpowered system with a confusing name and an oversized gamepad/tablet hybrid that nobody wanted or asked for and alienated 3rd party developers in the process. But of course it's us the consumer's fault for its failure because we weren't "open minded."
Nintendo needs to stop trying to be a solution in search of a problem and start listening to what gamers want! Things like...oh I don't know....voice chat? O...
Has a Luigi's Mansion vibe to it.
Why would anyone care though? Those games would look awful on an HD TV.
I'm still saying 399.99. To me anything less just isn't realistic.
I hope they announce a Season 2 for Driveclub.
More Ryme along with a firm release date.
PSVR price and release date.
More details on Gran Turismo Sport
PSVR support officially announced for No Man's Sky
While downloadable avatars would be nice, it wouldn't even make my top ten list of features I want to see on PS4.
Agreed. Phone gaming is for 5 year olds and soccer moms who want to play Candy Crush. If you want to be a mobile gamer get a 3DS. Phone gaming is a joke!
