I'm really pulling for Nintendo to make a big comeback with the NX. I'm a huge fan of their games and I have a lot of respect for how they run their company. I hope the NX comes out and impresses us!
You seem to be overlooking the fact that the Wii sold upwards of 100 million consoles and the Wii U has sold around 12 million.

Oh you know that's exactly what's going to happen. Wii U will continue to be "supported" the way the PS3 is currently being supported. It'll still be out there and available and you might see an odd title release for it here and there. However once NX comes you can bet Nintendo's focus will be on that 100%.

Translation = "We will fulfill our current obligations to the Wii U for the forseeable future (Zelda Twilight Princess, Zelda Wii U, Star Fox, etc) but beyond 2016 it's all about the NX."
Perspective is key here. While the conference itself didn't seem all that exciting, that doesn't change the fact that there are a lot of really good games coming and one underwhelming conference doesn't change that.

I'm guessing the NX will be a powerful home console that's being paired with a screen-based controller that you can take on the go. The controller will interface with the home console wirelessly when at home and via internet (similar to remote play with PS4/Vita only better, more effective) when on the go which will allow you to play NX games either at home or on the road. Also, I believe the controller will contain a DS slot and be backwards compatible with DS/3DS titles.
Bloodborne should be GOTY IMO. It was fantastic.
Although I don't think Driveclub needs it, I would be very curious to see what it would look like at 60fps. I wonder what all exactly would have to be sacrificed to get it to that framerate.
I absolutely want to see Driveclub move towards being a service. I don't want Driveclub 2 for this generation because it's not needed! The engine is perfect! The gameplay is perfect! I just want to see Evolution continue to grow and evolve THIS game for the duration of generation 8. More car packs, more tracks, more challenges, more tours, etc.

The damage model thing doesn't bother me. In fact if I had the option I would turn it off. I'd rather see my car nice and pristine when I cross the finish line! :-D
I'm glad they're not messing with the handling. I think it's great as is. However I welcome the easier difficulty option. I've been playing the game since launch and I feel that I have honestly maxed out my skill level with this game based on the time I have to put into it. It is frustrating to have all of these events that I cannot progress through because the game simply outclasses my ability.

I feel ya' man! Open world games are killing me LOL! I absolutely love them but man has it made me less prolific as a gamer. I'm still playing Witcher 3 right now and right behind it I have Batman Arkham Knight and Metal Gear 5! I want Fallout 4 as well but I'm not even entertaining the notion of buying that until I finish the backlog I already have!
I hate to break it to you but you're not going to see a lot of support beyond 2016. You'll get Zelda Wii U, you'll get Star Fox Wii U, and you'll get Twilight Princess HD. Beyond those, I just don't see Nintendo throwing anymore major support to a console that's going nowhere.
