Just as long as Skyrim's streamlining doesn't leave it with an experience devoid of joy (like Dragon Age 2 and its dead city of Mannequins - even Two Worlds 2 had cities and towns that felt alive with people walking around). I'll keep my fingers crossed in hope that Skyrim delivers.
I'm not sure what to make of your comment, since Sony did bring in Prolexic Technologies for their anti-DDOS expertise and I believe it would be disingenuous to insinuate that they did absolutely nothing to prepare for future attacks.
There is also the issue regarding Amazon cloud going down, which might mean the hackers attempted something different.
I agree with you, however it also depends on whether the updates are meaningful and informative. On the other hand, if Sony released frequent, but merely copy-and-pasted maintenance updates, it won't change much. I think they have a nice balance at the moment, and I know one of the criticisms was that Sony should have released a statement earlier. I understand where that's coming from, but what's worse than an official statement expounding ignorance. In fact, that would have bee...
This is actually a very good summary of the events leading up to what's currently ailing PSN. I enjoyed reading it.
I suppose there's not much they could add in an update like this, nor can they go into any sort of detail as to what new security features they're adding (since that would be counter-productive), but even a maintenance update like this helps to allay any fears.
Since they are nothing but a terrorist organisation, I implore all gamers to flag all their videos on youtube as inappropriate (i.e. promotes terrorism). They are not speaking for us, and we do not consider them our voice. Their actions are deplorable and we can and will not support them.
They could have added Fable 3 on there as well. It's odd because I vowed after Fable 2 that I would never by another and Peter fooled me again.
I was also bitten by Crackdown 2, such a dismally disappointing game. Which is a shame because Crackdown 1 was absolutely amazing. The first time my character slammed a car, I was literally rolling on the floor with delight.
I was sceptical at first when I was given a copy of WWE All Stars, but it's not a bad game by far. The animations are crisp and the exaggerated moves are awesome.
I wouldn't mind picking this up, I literally played this on the old SNES, until my eyes were bloody. One of the best Final Fantasy games, by far.
No, and let me explain to you why they shouldn't enlist the hackers. For the same reason, you wouldn't ask a serial child molester and convicted paedophile to babysit your children. Similarly, if someone broke into your house and stole your property would you ask those very same people to manage your household security? That's not to say that in the past the US government and even businesses have not employed black hat hackers who either voluntarily turned to white hat hacking or ...

Given how Anonymous operates and the fact that their actions are generally "for the lulz", reasoning with them or ranting at them would only be a waste of time. The only recourse is to flag their videos on youtube as inappropriate i.e. promotes terrorism. The more gamers target their videos, the more our point goes through that "No! You are not doing it in our name".
Let's consider Anon's theory for a second, i.e. that Sony took PSN down themselves as some sort of "retaliation" against Anonymous (regardless that gamers already hate Anon's guts):
Given that this is Easter weekend, one of the few long weekends this year, not to mention that a healthy number of games launched prior to it (portal 2, Socom 4, Mortal kombat etc.)it would be highly unlikely that Sony would attempt to damage its own reputation by "faki...
I couldn't have said it better. I'm voting that you gain some bubbles.
Anonymous has already shown how utterly irrelevant they are with their failed protest last week. Worse of all, they must be incredibly desperate and pathetic to try to take credit for a Manchester store being closed during Derby Day, or insinuating that the riot cops were for them, instead of the football hooligans.
It's safe to say, that we don't know why PSN is down, a...
Anonymous: it only does fail! http://www.youtube.com/watc...
What an utter joke of a group. Where a few weeks ago, you might have considered them the bogeyman of the internet (from harassing 11 year olds to cults like Scientology), it is now save to say that anonymous is a joke. They're politically irrelevant and they actually hold no power. I am glad they failed so hard against Sony. It brought me epic lulz.

I have to admit, when I saw this article, I couldn't help but laugh. What exactly were they thinking? Come to think of it, there's only one answer.

Not to mention in SA, the police and riot control squads use real rubber bullets (not water cannons). :P
It's safe to say that Anonymous has done immeasurable and irreparable harm to their reputation with the OPS against Sony. Gamers do not support them (in fact gamers have been extremely vocal, spamming Anon sites and Anon Youtube video channels), which means people are actually mocking them online. They have lost the scary and romantic image of being the internet'...
What a pointless article.
How exactly is Sony tormenting gamers with their weekend essentials, when Sony is not even acting maliciously? PSN is down because of something completely beyond their control, and not because Sony decided it would be fun to troll gamers over the long weekend. Incidentally, why was this article cleared?
