One of the better reviews of GT5 so far. I hope IGN is taking notes, because it's clear the author actually played the game extensively. It's for lack of a better word, a comprehensive review that weighs up the pros and the cons of GT5 - nice work.
I am disappointed by Real Life. The colours seem washed out. 5/10
I'm merely curious, why did you not focus on the bigger sites, like IGN and Gamespot (especially since they portray themselves as actual game journalist sites)? I don't think I've ever seen either of the gamer blogs hinting that they were not biassed (or I could be wrong)?
Am I the only person who would like to see Colony Wars on the PS3? Or even G-Police?
I have to agree with you Grant, Force Unleashed 2 is incredibly monotonous, not to mention far too short: ~4 hours? What next a 2 hour Call of Duty campaign?
That's a valid point, also what about students in dorm rooms? Space is always limited in the dens of higher learning.
I suppose it's a plus that you (potentially) only have to calibrate once (but it really seems very tedious). My only issue with Kinect so far, is the fact that selecting menus, arrows etc. seem very slow and cumbersome. It seems like it's something that I'll only do once or twice (for novelty sake) and then grab a controller. Having said that, I am impressed that it seems to be very responsive and the fact that it "remembers" your ID is very nifty.
Because it's vgchartz thumbsuckery. I still don't understand why vgchartz graphs are even posted on N4G. They've been debunked on more than one occasion for being nothing more than fabrication.
Since I generally game in my underwear, I always unplug the PS Eye. The same would hold true for if I owned Kinect.
I generally take IGN's reviews for PS3 games with a pinch of salt, primarily because Microsoft owns IGN. I would love to believe that The Fight is better than a 3, but with the motion gaming war heating up, and Kinect launching in the States tomorrow, I can't help but be sceptical of this review. I'll wait for confirmation from the other major reviewing sites and community opinion in the next few weeks, whether or not this game is a dud.
I can only speak from my own experiences with the Fable franchise, but basically it boils down to the promise of a Fable game is always greater than what it ultimately delivers. In other words, it always sounds like such a brilliant game, yet invariably you'll be disappointed.
I managed to finish Fable 3 as well (and I might replay it) but it's a much less rewarding experience than Fable 2, so those who would like to delve into Albion, I would suggest rather playing...
It looks good, I especially liked loading it up and seeing the new logo animation. The white boxes will take some time getting used to, but all and all (even though I won't be getting Kinect) it's a pretty nice update.
The original title of this article is "PS3 version of Dragon Age Ultimate Edition broken", the fact that this article was passed with the flame-bait title goes against the basic rules of submitting news.
I have come to terms with the fact that my wife is a non-gamer, however I have had some success in the past, be it Sports Champions (PS Move), Tumble (PS Move) and the occasional puzzle game on the DS. Having said that, there is a level of frustration in her not sharing in one of my hobbies.
If the division that was responsible for the Xbox and peripheral entities were separate from the entire E&D division, then I would agree with you, however regardless of profits posted by Xbox live, or that the xbox is finally in the black, the entire E&D division has been in the red for a while now. In fact, in the last quarter they lost nearly $200 million. Microsoft will have to cut the fat so to speak, and although I doubt they'll drop the xbox now, they have overextended them...
That's the point they're making at lazygamer.net as well, and if you read the comments, they actually highlight that fact. I think what we as gamers don't realise is that the financial crisis (global recession) is still on going, and a share price downgrade (even to neutral) is a very serious matter.
For some reason, I love just flying around in Just cause 2, be it in a fighter jet or chopper. Granted, Just cause 2 had a terrible main story...
I don't really see why this is a problem, I've killed Zombies, Nazis, Chinese, Vietnamese, British, Generic Arabs and Americans in countless of games. Why exactly should the taliban be hoisted above all others? Why is it so controversial to play as one of those strange bearded misogynists from Afghanistan?
Anyway, I'll still get Medal of Honor, however I am disappointed.
@Kudo Tsunoda aka Omega4: Mate, shouldn't you be making sure that Kinect actually delivers, rather than trolling N4G? By the way, I still haven't forgiven you for the travesty that was Def Jam Icon... :(
No problem for me either, I suppose Nogamer is joining IGN on the pile?
