It's the same in New Zealand as well, all my mates have moved over to PS3 from xbox 360. I have a few South African live, PSN and IRL mates and they say it's the same there as well. In addition, some South African stores no longer sell the xbox 360 because of the reliability issues.
I definitely agree. That's one of the reasons why I submitted it to N4G so that more posters can bring this issue to their (news24s) attention. Their articles are disturbingly pro-xbox.
@SexyPrawns: That would be true football, or as Americans like to call it soccer. Formula One on the other hand is a completely different ball game (excuse the bad pun), I suppose NASCAR would be the American equivalent, but F1 is huge everywhere outside of the US.
These TV ads leave much to be desired, although I wouldn't consider them to be terrible, merely uninspired. The "You are the controller" tag doesn't light a fire under me, and I think I'm probably one of the few who actually felt annoyed by all the happy people waving their hands and jumping around. I should probably see a therapist now.
That is my fear as well. I play the occasional multiplayer game, but for the most part all I require is a nice long, intensive single player experience with a thought-provoking story. I mean no disrespect to those who enjoy Halo, but once the Halo model becomes standard and all games are focussed more on the MP side of gaming is the day I get off the bus.
I'm actually currently enjoying an old school rogue-like game called Omega. It's one of those old games where once you saves it exits the game, and when load up the gamefile, the file disappears, therefore, if you die, it's game over and you have to start all over again. In terms of graphics, you're a single red dot on a map, but you have complete control over your inventory, and if you choose to you can rob a bank, kill a priest or attack a guard. You can speak to anyone, and...
But wouldn't it be YOUR responsibility to backup YOUR game saves, considering that electronics break down all the time (potentially as a side effect of plannned obsolescence), and if you have the option to backup your data, why are you getting upset at the manufacturer, because of your negligence? That sounds like someone has a sense of entitlement.
That's really the only negative I can think of, it would have been so awesome if they included an additional move controller and two navigator controllers.
The irony is that overzealous and restrictive DRM is doing more harm to PC gaming than developers would like believe or admit to.
That's very subjective, since how do you compare a late 1990s CRPG to something like Dragon Age. Is Baldur's Gate or Diablo better than Mass Effect for instance? I'll admit games are prettier now, but I wouldn't necessarily say they're better, and before I'm accused of being a retro gamer, I enjoy this generation's games.
My point was more on the fact that the game review ratings have gotten out of hand. If the accepted average of "good"...
9.5/10 is a pretty high rating. It means Dead Rising 2 must approximate perfection, i.e. no control hassles (be it vehicles or otherwise), no screen tearing, no dodgy ally AI etc. etc.. I am not saying that Dead Rising 2 is not a good game (in fact, I enjoy it immensely), or even an exemplary game, however I do sometimes wish for a return to a more simple time, when games that scored 5/10 were in fact considered mediocre, 4/10 was considered below-average, 6-7 were considered above-average, w...
Why would you even do something like this? It's pointless. I'm always reminded of a non-gamer friend who once remarked "So a high achievement score means you've just played a lot of games...". I tend to agree with him, trophies and achievements mean nothing in the greater scheme of things, they're fun to unlock or to even chase, but the minute they become an obsession, gaming ceases to be a hobby and becomes something unhealthy and even more so if you're actively...
I have to agree with the author of the article, after replaying Case Zero almost 3 times, I have no desire to actually play the main game. The irony is, that although I own the first game, it merely kept me entertained for a few hours. Case Zero merely reminded me that I probably won't enjoy Dead Rising 2.
I'm doubtful that this will become a reality in the near future, especially since network infrastructure is the major limiting factor (not only in the developed world, but certainly in the developing world), but if this is truly the future of gaming, then I'll be getting off the gaming bus, and become a vocal and active retrogamer (come to think of it, there are a couple of old titles that I still need to finish).
I'm still playing, it takes a lot out of you though, and a typical Sports Champions session generally runs under an hour, otherwise you're on the floor, sweating like a pig and eager for someone to massage your aching muscles. I've just finished Bronze Tourneys on all the events, with gladiator and frisbee golf halway into silver.
An opinion derived out of ignorance has absolutely no merit or worth, having said that, it's clear that someone is trying to get hits for his website.
I would have also wanted Move to ship a lot more in its opening week, however so it goes. Hopefully, more people will pick up Sports Champions.
I'll admit it sounds interesting, and my interest in the game is peaking...
He was nominated, but he was knocked out in the early stages by Sweet Tooth of all villains :(.
You never know, most of these sites flourish on trolling its readership. It's more about getting cheap internet hits to keep advertisers happy (or to gain more advertisers), than providing informative and meaningful commentary. This was two or three paragraphs of uncooked tripe, and I actually feel shafted for clicking on the link.
