Yeah but thats it for this year right? I mean if they had any more major releases, lets say for arguments sake, Zelda, Pokemon, Layton or even a new Yoshis island game the 3DS domination woulld be complete. Phew just as well all those games arent coming just before Christmas. My wallet would be crying just like the competition...

Because Nintendo have locked out the top 10 2 weeks in a row. Now at least there are games from other platforms in there. Big N still dominating, just not as much.
There seems to be a run of Nintendo games that are making the US wait. Its out in Pal regions in August which includes Australia which is where this story is from.
Pikmin 3 aint on the list cos it came out in July down under.
PIKd up a MINt copy today and this game is awesome. The only problem I have so far is the horrible pang of guilt when one of my Pikmin dies cos I havent whistled quick enough.

Yeah and the game has an 88 metacritic score so far with 0 negative reviews. I know reviews usually mean squat but why pick on a universally praised game to hate on a console. The gaming media sucks a lot of the time.

That surprises me for W101. Looks to me to be a game that fits nicely into the Japanese market. Will maybe be a slow burner.
I agree to some extent but sales are important. They will define the level of support a console will receive in it's lifecycle.
What I as a gamer want is for sales of the Vita and WiiU to pick up. This will lead to more support for each console and hence more varied gameplay which will make me happy.

Nintendo are not going down the power route, they are trying to focus on gameplay so how about the gaming community getting behind them instead of delighting in every blip along the road.

It is on WiiU but maybe Kamiya will have a different approach than Nintendo. Cant say Ive heard if it will/wont have online. What gets me is, the infrastructure is there so why dont Nintendo use it?
Havent seen a negative review yet, then again gamespot haven't submitted theirs yet. The main criticism seems to be the length of the story mode which seems like a reasonable length when taking into account challenge mode and bingo battle.
Lack of online is a bit of a bummer but is due to Miyamotos perfectionism as he doesnt like the idea of lag affecting accuracy.

Yes the atoryline is formulaic but guess what the gameplay on 3D Mario games is awesome fun. They always make minor tweaks (apart from Galaxy which changed the physics) and for me and other Mario fans, it feels fresh and fun. It'll also shift a lot of systems.
Sunday times gave it 5/5 as well. Looks like its going to be epic.
