Not really. When I buy a new console I get the games I want to play when the console is released. I dont buy the console then wait a week to play them.

I really hope both consoles get some games to build on early momentum. Launch for me was disappointing on bboth fronts and neither have given me a reason to want to own any next gen console other than the WiiU.
I know folks will laugh at that fact but when you look at exclusive titles, WiiU has loads more (which is understandable as its been out a year longer)
I look forward to seeing what both bring next year, especially Uncharted and Destiny which will like...
People who troll articles claiming that certain games are awful without having played them are the plague to gaming.
Sure those titles aren't for everyone but there will be folks out there who truly love the PS4 launch games.
I personally am waiting till next year when there is a solid library of games I want to play come out.
What's so galling about this whole thing is that you can still buy a PS4 on their website so long as you get one of the expensive bundles. So they clearly still have stock of PS4. If they still have stock they should be getting rid of those bundles, teling folks they have sold out and fulfilling the preorders. Any time I go to game recently it has been a nightmare, taking ages to do something simple.

Theres a very low uptake of WiiU in Japan. Bit worrying for Nintendo if thats all they can shift in their home turf. Fingers crossed the holiday sales will give it a boost.
@ Monkey... Nintendos main franchises - mario, zelda, metroid, pokemon, fire emblem, donkey kong, pikmin, animal crossing, yoshi, kirby, kid icarus, layton, xenoblade, starfox all released recently. There are also a ton of older titles in the back catalogue to draw from.

Its got decent 3rd party support. COD, AC4, Batman, Watchdogs, Deus ex, Splinter Cell and now potentially the new tomb raider.
The only games its missing are EA titles and GTA.
The thing WiiU did wrong was the 9 month drought of games between November 2012 and August 2013.
The initial sales were good and Nintendo needed to build on the initial momentum but instead we had a period where there were no games for people to get excited by.

Lets be honest. Early adopters get burned these days. I got a ps3 on launch day...burned, 3ds on launch day... burned, a WiiU on launch day....burned.
Since August my WiiU has been awesome and I think im 1 of the few that thought the launch lineup was really good. I got Nintendoland, NSMBU, ZombiU, BLOPS2 and AC3. Kept me going till mid Jan, then the drought hit...7 months, 1 decent game release (lego city). Things are finally ticking but ive sworn off being an early adopter....

I actually have a feeling all he is gonna announce is a bayonetta port for Nintendo fans to try the first before they release the second. Especially given Kamiya's recent tweets.
t depens what you mean by "need it". It makes MS money and therefore is a valuable asset in their company portfolio. Asking if MS needs Xbox is like asking if Apple needs the Mac range, which has become the smallest part of their business.
Of course they don't need it for the company to survive, but if it makes them £££ then why would they get rid of it.

I can be in a terrible mood then half an hour of mario 3d world on multiplayer gets me back in a fantastic mood. Its just 1 of the best gaming experiences I can remember.
