*spoilers kind of* I am sooo close to 100% now but my god Champion Road has to be the hardest Mario level ever. The rest of the game seems positively easy when you get to that crown world its just like they are saying "gues what? We could have made a hard game."
I think they should do a generations ad where they show a kid playing Mario/ Zelda on the NES then flick to a few years later with a different game on SNES maybe DK or FZERO then flick to a few years later with Goldeneye/Conker and Mario64 on N64 then Gamecube with Vietiful Joe/ Luigis Mansion and Pikmin then Wii with Wii Sports and Mario Galaxy then finally come on to WiiU and do a sizzle reel of Lego City, Pikmin 3, Mario 3D world, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, ZombiU, NSMBU and Wii part...
Bubs up well said and totally agree with the sentiment. Were in an era of variety where theres something for everyone. I love Nintendo 1st party and everything from r* and naughty dog, so by xmas 2014 ill have a wiiu/ps4 combo. Ms gamers are all set too and pc gamers will always have the steam sale.
Lets hope the variety doesnt mean dilution of market so that all these amazing companies can turn a profit.

Yep its not bad and when you pick apart the articpe further you see that they have compared 9 days of data for 3D World agaist an entire month for the rest. There is still time for the game to have a better attach rate than either of the games mentioned.

I think the main reason is Reggies presence. Him being their implied Nintendo had something epic to show. Then Keighly overhyped it so it seemed like some world premiere was coming, bbefore Nintendo downplayed it and they showed Cranky.
Im actually starting to think Nintendo have some internal policy to only show games a few months before release. Weve seen x snd yoshi once and that was a year ago. Almost every other Direct has shown something within 6 monyhs of release. Not ...
Too right and if you dont havve your attitude guess what? You can wait for the free patches and uppdates that come later before purchasing thus buying the "complete" game at the time the devs would have released it back in the good old days
Without putting a spoiler up the very last level I have been playing for 4 hours and still cant beat it. The difficulty level towards the end is extreme if you are going for the green stars. I love it.
This is probably a tad extreme but I think Nintendo should pay 3rd parties to port their games with extra gamepad features. Eg COD using the gamepad to call in your killstreaks with W101 type inputs. Local multiplayer where the gamepad player is a ghost and only gets a knife and then has to assassinate the othwr players etc
Assassins creed could have some parcour moves with the gamepad or a panoramic view when you get to a viewpoint where you can use the gamepad for a 360 vie...
I was responding to you saying Nintendo is losing money. When a company is losing money it runs at a deficit, Nintendo is running at a profit and hence not losing money.
So ypu've studied Nintendos recent financial results and they posted a loss did they??? Got the link there? The last financial report I can find shows a reasonable profit for the big N for the first 6 months of this year.

Oh dear...Nintendo has a massive stockpile of cash, 3DS is selling amazing and WiiU has a really good lineup of games and has just releasedmario which is amazing. They will be 3rd this gen but will still make a healthy profit and create some amazing games.

2013 was not the year of Luigi. It was the year of the 3ds. System seller after system seller kept rolling out, heck Nintendo made light of the factby having a "so many games" promotion and that was before Zelda, Layton and Pokemon.

Oh wait the games are coming, im sure ive heard this argument before....thats right thats what I sounded like this time last year when justifying my WiiU purchase. Its ok guys they will eventually come. U have drive club, infamous and watch dogs early next year, when ill be playing watch dohs, DKTF, Mariokart and smash bros.
