1) I agree with this, Nintendo should definitely have had more products either ready or close to ready so we wouldnt have needed to go through a 9 month drought (with the exception of MHU and Lego City)
2) I think the Wii U's power is just fine. It won't compete with the PS4 and Next Box on power but once again offers a different way to play and enouogh power to run most games albeit it downscaled from the other 2. Im interested in seeing how Retro harness the power o...
Yeah but its like a downgraded adventure.
Excursion? Hopefully this is just lost in translation otherwise it doesnt sound very Sonicy. Mum "where are you off to Sonic" Sonic "oh im just going on an excursion" Mum "that sounds nice. Dinner is at 6 have fun" Sonic "will do. Bye"
So we have a tony soprano type dude, a badass 50 cent type dude and a drunken hillbilly with no sense of propriety or personal hygiene.
God bless you r* and please make time go faster to September.
In answer to your question.... yes your the only 1 who is disappointed.
Id get it. 1 down 999999 to go before r* see a good investment. Tbh I think most people with a WiiU wold buy it ahead of the Ps3/360 due to potentially superior graphics and to see whar r* would do with the gamepad.
Very true. I think what makes it worse is that its the first time since the Snes that Nintendo has kade the name similar.
If you think about the market that Wii was aimed aat ie casuals with limited or no prior gaming experience, you would have thought it was very important for Nintendo to differentiate the names.
Seems a sensible date. 2 weeks before black Friday. Could be scary at midnight launches. Good luck everyone.
Please no. What ever happened to "heres a game its fifty quid. There are no add ons its just a game. You get a bonus level for completing it....enjoy" now I have no idea how much a game costs. If I pay a tenner extra am I still missing stuff? Does this fifty quid game now actually cost £ 100.
I would be cool if a company came out and said "right dev costs have risen cos you guys want awesome games. Some companies will recoup these ext a costs through dlc. ...
March was epic, this holiday season is shaping up to be crazy though. Think its been a good l, but slightly underwhelming year.
Gta, watch dogs, bf4, windwaker HD and possibly new Mario as well as 2 new console releases and whatever e3 throws at us. Activision better seriously up its game or it has no chance of getting my pennies.
Whilst the link appears to be fairly tenuous (my friend, the anonomous retailer) I would say it has a good chance on coming out for wii u. The delay will have helped as it means the install base of wii u owners will be slightly bigger meaning less risk.
Rockstar aint stupid, they will be looking at attach rates of other 3rd party titles like cod and assassins creed and you would almost guarantee a gta release will dwarf those figures. Just depends if once those numbers are cr...
To be fair, I love my WiiU but given the relatively sparse library of games we have just now, it makes sense to hold off on a major advertising campaign until there is more to show off.
Once 3d Mario, mario kart U, windwaker, yoshi etc are all out Id expect to see Nintendo ramping up the advertising campaign.
I would say they are the most rounded. They have rabbids for kids, just dance for folks that like that sort of thing, farcry and assassins creed, whilst still bringing new IPs to the table like Watch Dogs and ZombiU.
Whilst I was pissed at Ubisoft for the delay, I can understand why they did what they did and it makes good business sense.
This app is a decent apology 2 new levels a day and 2 a week every day/week till launch? Thats pretty sweet without even considering how ridiculously fun and addictive the levels are.
With all the talent they have recruited and the length of development, plus the fact that no-one seems to know what they are working on, I am 100% convinced this is gonna be something breathtaking.
Please dont keep us waiting any longer.
To be fair, the article is about a Dev saying that he is giving people a reason to buy a Wii U. I see no reason that this shouldn't lead into people talking about which consoles they will purchase.
Think Ill be the same as wrll. You never know M$ might come out with something really compelling when they anounce the next box, but Im happy with Naughty Dog and Mario at the moment.
Not sure how that would work considering you need to choose which Pokemon to use. Are you saying an action RPG where you play as 1 Pokemon? Or are you saying only to change the battle sequences?
I do like the idea of a Kingdom Hearts type Pokemon game though.
Good DLC is something that adds to a game without taking away from it if you decide not to purchase it.
Bad DLC is something you need to buy to full yexperience a game. EG good DLC = anything done by Rockstar (Gta 4 was great, red dead redemption : undead nightmare was great)
Bad DLC = most things by Activision - map packs for COD online, Skylanders (mainly because it's on disc DLC which is absurd)
