Tbh the young gamer is already pretty well served on ps consoles with skylanders, disney infinity, LBP and just dance along with the sports sim of your choice (only saying this because kenny dalgliesh player/manager on the sinclair spectrum zx got me into gaming)

Agreed. Dont get me wrong I loved paradise, it was a beautiful fun game. But the set piece crash modes of previous burnouts were amazing fun. Imagine that in online multiplayer racing other people to get to the best crash vantage points. It would be immense.
The hardware is capable of supporting great games so I dont see it as an issue. Will it perform as well as ps4 and x1 on graphically intense games? No. However it offers a unique way to play and I think its brilliant.
Also the 2014 lineup looks pretty special so far. But then it does for all 3 consoles.

Miyamoto is a massive problem for Nintendo. They now need to get a bigger vault for all the money hes made them. Without him they would have been bust and looking for alternate employment probably as some kind of industry analyst. This article isnt about the price of Nintendos stock per se though, its the medias attitude to reporting stories about Nintendo.
Why dont we create a properly positive Nintendo news story using the exact same facts that the doom and gloomers use. "Nintendo stock rises 18% just hours after they announce a reduced target for year end" if it dropped then recovered it must be 18% above where it was at one point in the day.

Sorry my bad. When I looked on my phone it said the standard ps4 was in stock at £349. When I go now, it says not available till jan 30th. Must have hit the 10 minute period they actually had stock.

They did drop 18% the article just fails to mention the fact that they recovered to a 6% drop in the afternoon. Considering how bad the sales forecast is for Nintendo and how well the shares have done over the year you'd say this wasnt a disaster.
They need to have a good few surprises up their sleeves and find a way to release games quicker. Mario 3D World is amazing but it caters to core Nintendo fans such as myself. They need to do something to sort out their online play and bring out a game yhat takes advantage of free online.
The sort of golden eye perfect dark type game from the times that shooters were fun, or like a kid icarus game with online cop, or MMO Pokemon. Come on Nintendo make it happen.
