I wouldn't say the PS3 has a better holiday lineup than the 360 by any means whatsoever. A better launch lineup than the 360 had, yes...but not a better holiday lineup, not in its first generation of games...
hydrog...this is coming as a concerned individual...if you have seriously played 12.5 DAYS worth of Chromehounds since July 11th...then you are likely in need of food, water, and sunlight and should probably turn off your 360 for a while...
Linux in general shares a number of advantages over Windows and in general is free...Firefox is a better web browser than Internet Explorer and yet...it too is free...you're statement doesn't seem to hold any weight...
This article is only in reference to the Cell itself. It mentions nothing of other hardware/software security measures that Sony may have implemented in the PS3, and therefore really does not say much...
the price of games has not been confirmed one way or another, they'll likely end up being the same price, roughly, as 360 games...
Yes, so much for retaining any form of objectivity. You claim not to bash the PS3 only to speak common sense, but you clearly have no interest in being a purveyor of truth and have much more interest in doing exactly what you allege not to do. Also, I've seen you mention links for references before. Could you please provide a link that supports your statement of 30% of launch PS2's being broken. I know some were faulty, but it definitely was not near 30%.
I'm aware that some games will, Resistance included, but no where has it been mentioned that every game will.
PlayStations target group is NOT mostly kids under 18. Microsoft and Sony have both stated before that they essentially have the same target audience, while Nintendo mops up those younger.
You are both a little skewed in this, TheMART could very well be right on this. It doesn't say that it will go to the 360 even in Europe or the US, but it mentions that it could be exclusive in Japan only since the 360 has sold so poorly over there.
They have only stated that they COULD put all languages on a single disc, but not that each game will include them in that way...
that would be for a TIMED exclusive...a game that is explicitly exclusive goes to one console and one console only.
Lionhead released a game, Black and White 2 completely and totally plagued by issues such that many people could not even play the game...I'm still not sure if those issues have been resolved...I gave up on my copy 6 months after the game was released when the issue still hadn't been resolved...I'd hardly say that they are a great company considering this...
The new controller has triggers in place of the R2 and L2 buttons.
I was under the impression it was supposed to be nearly 100% backwards compatible leaving them with a little bit of leeway. I find it hard to believe anyone would have taken 100 BC seriously anyway considering even the PS2 wasn't 100% BC with the original PlayStation.
actually, the real test is next Christmas after PS3 devs have had at least a year under their belt with the final hardware
FYI...there are plenty of Gamestops in Illinois...just throwing it out there :-P
You know nothing "STFU XBOX U SCARED." Your antics lately have been the very thing this site does not need. this article has nothing to do with the 360 so keep it out of it. Try maintaining some objectivity in all of this please, for everyone's sake...
Basically everyone posts occasional facts and more frequent opinions. Fanboys, for the most part, on both sides have been rather obnoxious lately...
there's two
While I understand, or at least hope, that you're kidding with this comment. I have to point out that that is not at all the case. Computer engineers actually use an approximately equal amount of math to computer scientists. Realistically this is usually the case. During schooling the computer engineer has more because he has to take the standard electrical engineering courses as well. There's actually a fairly large difference between computer engineers an scientists. The CS major is respons...
