For publishers to pull their heads out of arses and realize we'll buy them and that they don't need to have giant explosions?
Freaking epic. Seriously amazing - I didn't think it was possible to put bioshock into minecraft like this but Jesus they did it.
Yeah windows 8 is not an upgrade. It has less features than before... Microsoft's logic is almost as though they'd remove wheels from a bicycle so you didn't have to get out of breath peddling everywhere. Computers break and from hidden folders to UAC whenever microsoft try to make things safer, or easier, it actually just gets in the way for people who do know what they're doing to fix what's wrong. I know what system 32 does you twats you don't have to hide it from m...
I think more will be done for AI in the name of posting porn addresses on random website comment sections than will be done in a laboratory. The ongoing escalation is actually encouraging computers to perform human like tasks - it's brilliant. I think we should stick around with captcha because if a spam bot ever did beat it then we'd have developed a brilliant tool for scanning papers and books into digital form.
On the other hand Captcha was more inconvenient than ...
Pledged. Freakin' sweet - these guys are great devs to have on the British side of things because they actually nail our sense of humour. Dark, sarcastic and occasionally silly - it's great. But beyond that they're amazing devs all round, they got screwed by the publishers and it's left them developing card games since. I'm really glad to be helping these guys out and I hope they get to go multiplatform because if we can get kickstarter going for major console releases it&...
What mountain where the demon is standing? All I see is fire and a demon.
And honestly is it really shit? You realize photorealism is an asymptote and as time goes on computer graphics will only have smaller and smaller gaps to close so really what you're saying is that a tiny piece of detail in an otherwise incredible display of graphics isn't up to scratch...as far as you say. Honestly I can't see a single piece of poor polygon count in any of these pictures bu...
Lost stealth and seriously suffered from it. Return to castle wolfenstein had a hell of a feeling attached to it - it had a sense of place and time and when I think of it I remember many memorable missions, levels and weapons I all enjoyed.
RTCW was dry and engaged in its own world. It wasn't funny with a self referencing protagonist and it didn't have the lame cliched background characters that seriously drag down Wolfenstein. It's like temple of doom vs. kingdom...
Knowing their fanbase probably a stumble. I hope blizzard appreciate just how loyal their fans are - it's impressive.
YES! Screw survarium it doesn't even have A-life! Thankfully SOME good news for fans of roadside picnic who enjoy their atmosphere NOT raped by MMO mechanics.
Now...kickstarter anybody?
I love the hypocrisy. When Bethesda make a giant virtual world with some bugs people lose their freaking minds. But when blizzard screw legitimate customers over just to keep the status quo in developers favour and apparently we're all entitled pricks. At least Bethesda included a freaking console and a few commands.
And of course always online DRM for blizzard makes so much sense right? The company behind WoW and sc2 is clearly seeing financial woes from piracy and with...
Tutorials aren't so much an issue to me when compared to the world size. Tutorials aside THAT was a violation of minecraft's spirit. I always set aside one world where I never stop traveling. It's a lot of fun and one map is just way too small. My greatest adventures have been freaking miles away from my spawn as have my best finds.
And the award for the biggest waste of breath goes to this statement. Congratulations you've arbitrarily compared 2 completely differeng companies with completely different games and completely different market and development strategies.
And yet fanboys will STILL debate this stupidity.
Let's all get really angry about people misrepresenting a guy who's main message was peace and understanding.
Actually I agree with him. It IS gimped - one map is the world size limit so that sounds like a pretty gimped version to me.
Admittedly he probably is a bit jealous but it doesn't change the fact that minecraft 360 is nowhere near the full experience because for some weird reason they killed one of MC's strongest pulls - infinite exploration.
Zenimax are pretty inexperienced with the games industry. Yeah they have Bethesda but Zenimax themselves have shown utter incompetence in being able to manouvre the games industry. From suing Notch because they thought gamers would end up buying his game instead of Skyrim to holding Obsidian to a ridiculous bonus standard centred on metacritic they've always had more of a movie centric approach because they are a more generic media company at heart.
And as a company with...
I enjoyed Kane and Lynch 2. I certainly respect peoples' opinions of it because that's fair but I think it's pretty disgusting for Kotaku to just call it a turd. I know the average person will just write a movie or a game off as crap but professional critics should appreciate that sitting down and crafting a virtual experience is fucking difficult and takes a LOT of people putting in a LOT of work and that it only takes a few slip ups to make a game unenjoyable. There is no scenar...
What astounds me is that you've edited this comment once and thought it looks just fine as it is.
On topic: of course EA are showing solidity in their line up. I would too if I had a billion dollars behind me to fund studios. What's really impressive is that despite all the money they still feel the need to gut and destroy franchises on a nearly daily basis.
I simply do not understand why you have a disagree. Not only will this make a lot of people happy but it's one of the few pieces of good news from the industry I've heard in a while.
Props to Rockstar for doing this. It's a particularly important exclusion because the social club is fucking terrible as it is so putting something else on top would have been really game breaking. Although it is nice of them to make a DRM free version... oh no wait that's called...
To be fair Adrian Shephard is just one of a billion plot threads half life hasn't answered.
Arkham asylum did it - why not aliens colonial marines?
