Killzone was always average on PS3 - Halo absolutely destroyed it. I could only play Killzone 2 for 20~30 minutes before moving on to another game. So it boggles my mind that the sony fans keep hyping this game. I can understand looking forward to the sony big guns that will start showing up in 2015, but hyping KZSF as a great game when its prequels failed does not make any sense to me.
Ryse, looks great but also looks boring. As far as I can tell there is basically one...
actually, I agree with you, Showtime and Jamaica. I thought Titanfall, D4, Quantum Break, COD devs would have made better cases for kinect / cloud. He did include Deadrising 3, but left out all the cool things that Capcom is doing with Kinect.
Also, Showtime, I don't disagree with your other point above. I had a blast over the years with SOTC, Twisted Metal, FF, Uncharted, Demon Souls and other PS IPs. PS does a great job with new games. I'm just more interested...
no, because the second sentence, "But there's only so much excitement you can wring out of the idea of a shooter or platformer or role-playing game that looks better than current games, but plays just like a hundred games you've already played."
I've been playing since Atari and am sick of the same basic gameplay whether it's 360 or PS3. Can't wait for X1 to evolve gaming!
This is why X1 is the more complete next gen experience.
not to mention MS's VR headset plans were leaked several months ago. I just grabbed the first article that popped up on google...I guess extreme tech isn't too thorough??

almost forgot what this is about by the time I got to the bottom... of course X1 is worth more. PS4 will have great games by 2015 but is basically PS3 with better graphics while X1 will have evolved gaming even further than the standard that 360 set with Kinect 2 and Cloud. Funniest thing is sony fans keep bringing up KZSF... um the first 3 games on PS3 would be considered B shooters on 360 so don't get your hopes too high. On the flip side MS better go through with their plan to focus ...
sweet... I'm sure they will find even more uses for this next gen. Looking forward to how the goon patrol responds when sony anounces PS4 supports 8 controllers.
the 360 controller was the king and like you said MS improved it and finally fixed the dpad. While Sony retained the stick position flaw and added a lame touch screen. Another easy win for X1 as far as controllers go. I do like PS controller for rpgs and less action oriented games though.
yes but for the rest of us a let down. Like anyone else in his position, Major needs to choose his more carefully since this is the age of internet fueled speculation, anticipation, and mayhem. Not to mention, Epic's "tba" downer. A lot of gamers were expecting a AAA reveal from Epic and many were connecting this to Major's tease. Just like Sony's tease for GC which ending up being way underwhelming. These people need to cut out the misleading hype as it only sets t...
my disagree didn't have anything to do with your initial comment even though it's unconfirmed, but the rest of your dribble that came afterward.
well said... these guys treat ps like a religion. I respect the systems and had a lot of fun playing games like FF7, TM2, SOTC, Demon Souls, and Uncharted. But, N64 had better top tier games that innovated gaming. You can't beat Mario 64, Turok, Star Fox, Zelda, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, Banjo, Mario Cart, Smash Bros. With Xbox you can't beat Halo, but PS had way more exclusives. Then with 360, MS beat the crap out of Sony in every department except except for number of exclusives...
Sony fan boy, PS4 may be better grahically - we heard same story with PS3, but Gears of War and Halo 4 showed otherwise. Everything is speculation until we see what devs do with the systems. I'm expecting X1 to retain its domination with the controller and online gaming. Adding cloud and dedicated kinect to the mix will further the innovation and performance gap further. PS is basically good for RPG and other single player games. X1 will be a truer next gen experience while PS4 will b...
I think I agree with you that history repeats itself. PS4 will have a slight edge in graphical capability and more exclusives, while X1 will be better in every other category. However, this time around X1 is improving first party exclusives and even better than Sony initially, but I don't doubt that Sony will catch up quickly.
when gears released it was a one of a kind chaingun romp fest with great gameplay and tons of laughs. It was also easily the best game in terms of graphics on any console at the time. I enjoyed the 2nd game as well, but that was it for me so definitely agree that the appeal can be short lived. Since I have limited time I only want to play the best games that provide a unique experience. Out of the Killzones I only played KZ2 and didn't make it long at all because for me it fell short ...
I am glad that the MS studios are focusing on X1 and equally glad that they are not going the cross gen route like IW with COD Ghosts. I traded both PS3 & 360 in months ago for X1 because they were boring me with repetitive gameplay. MS is still investing in 360 with titanfall, world of tanks, warface, and I'm sure plenty of other big games that they haven't announced.
an insult for nintendo I think. PS4 has its work cut out for it in order to surpass Resident Evil 4, Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Zelda Windwaker. Not saying it won't but declaring vitory now for PS4 or X1 over gamecube would be an insult.
sounds like PS4 will be better graphically, but so far doesn't look like it. I'm still going with X1 first because it is better in every other category by a wide margin. Better controller, better online gaming, better features, and even better exclusives out the gate. MS already is evolving gaming with Kinect and cloud and will continue to be the front runner when it comes to new technologies and services. PS4 has better graphics and I'll be shocked if they don't take the ...
I always preferred the top screen myself. It's nice when you have a choice. Right now I play without split screen but when my boys get older then I hope more devs wisen up. Perhaps they should pay more attention to COD and Halo sales. Many gamers need split screen and they will buy the games that support it.
hopefully MS continues to split screen. I can't even begin to entertain why devs would take couch co-op and vs away from players. These guys get paid big bucks to be morons, really?
Also, not sure why everyone is hyping KZSF in the first place. Didn't they play these games on PS3? Killzone has always been an average game compared to Halo, COD, BF.
looks like a bunch of features that will add to already wealthy next gen capabilities that X1 brings to the table. I'm not personally interested in dropping the best controller in the world to pick up my Sony tablet during a game. But if the devs can stick to utilizing it as a companion option then it may function as Nintendo envisioned Wiimu. Rock on.
