I had both consoles past gen also but am getting X1 first because I got bored of the same basic gameplay for the last 20 years so I actually agree with this article to an extent. Of course jumping into BF4 should not be boring... but what makes it different than last the last BF or the one before it? As far as MS propaganda - they are certainly not out doing Sony in that regard.

As far as I can tell the Sony execs have taken unprofessional shots at MS while the MS execs have been gracious in their comments toward Sony so I'm not sure why Sony fan boys dislike the MS execs so much.
As far as the two systems go it looks like nothing is changing next Gen - PS4 will have better graphical capability and X1 will have better everything else.
As far as exclusives go it looks like we have to wait a year before system sellers arrive - 1884...
I agree. As the dust settles gamers will choose between best graphics and best everything else -online gaming, innovative gameplay, etc. I think the population at large will not be as satisfied with the better graphics when they can get a more complete and new package with X1. The good thing is hard core gamers can choose or even have both - the great single player game with great graphics and/or the best online gaming experience that brings an new experience. actually I won't buy games with explicit sexual content so I am glad for the censorship... if anyone wants that type of garbage there are plenty of other venues to corrupt themselves... why ruin video games with it?
while the resolution is definitely a surprise I don't know why you think X1 was rushed or why you think PS4 already won. Using the same thinking we could say the PS4 was rushed and X1 already won as X1 is superior in every way aside from the graphics.
actually I think he should have included dedicated servers and cloud gaming and removed the memory for a more complete list. Basically PS4 has better graphics and X1 has better everything else, but I expect PS4 to catch up with exclusives in 2015... don't get your comment on the digital games though.
Rare has as big of a treasure trove of IPs as anyone. I wish MS would invest more into them so that they could assign teams to specifically target AAA games on a regular basis.

that's strange that IW can't 1080p their cross gen game on X1. Makes me wonder what MS did to their console... still I'll take xbox live and the controller over PS4 and 1080p all day long.
if Kinect frees up rare to make traditional AAA games again then that right there is worth the extra 100.
I'm also going X1 at launch because their exclusives, controller, multiplayer gaming and kinect out weigh PS4s graphical edge, but if X1 can't handle 1080p on a crappy game like COD Ghosts then I have to ask how did MS screw up their console so badly when everything else is better than the competition?
best console is debatable but 360 easily has best controller and online service...

definitely agree. X1 has next gen features that will be a level above PS4 features just like Xbox live has always been a level above PSN. Although I'm disappointed with the graphic capabilities on both systems, I'm looking forward to the next gen features on the X1.
