wow, good to see Sony’s online army hard at work pumping up their exclusives. Here’s a question if they are so good why do you spend so much energy promoting them and attacking other platforms? As a Xbox gamer I just don’t have the time - too busy playing the best multiplayer games on the best system with the best controller on the best network. add to that better controller, better, network, better bc, better multiplayer games, etc....reason why I didn't play PS2, PS3 much and have been Xbox all the way even with the X1 catastrophe.
I have been enjoying Destiny since release, but the PVP portion uses P2P hosting just like COD so PVP results are more reflective of your connection to the host rather than your skills or gear. Of course the idea is still to add those skills and gear to the mix so that you can dominate even more when you have a good connection to the host and survive when you don't. I quit playing COD after Ghosts for this very reason, but Destiny has much more to offer in addition to meaningless PVP.
I don't get the article... X1 was always a better option than PS4. All PS4 has is an edge in 1080p while X1 is better in every other way and surprisingly with better games. This will continue to be the case going forward and X1 will rule holiday 2015 with Halo 5, Quantum Break, Fable, Tomb Raider, etc. PS4 will finally have great games in 2015 starting with Bloodborne so should be a very good year for both.
with Destiny and Sunset Overdrive out and Halo coming in two weeks, not to mention other games like Forza, Spark, and Fantasia if that's your thing, I don't think most X1 players will have time to play freebies anyway. I was shocked how bad Spacey looked, but I probably comparing to the Halo 4 facial animation. It doesn't matter anyway, there are way too many similar games that run on dedicated servers available these days and we're no longer forced to deal with P2P hosting drivel that the COD franchise serves. I knew X1 was the right choice despite the rocky start but I expected PS4 to have more up its sleeve. So far nothing but disappointments if you already played Last of Us on PS3. Other than Destiny the first great game looks to be Bloodborne and then you have to wait for Uncharted 4 for the next one. Meanwhile, X1 is piling up great games.

Yes, there are loads of games to play but I think like many of us the author only wants to play GREAT GAMES.

I'm playing TF as much as I did when it launched and am having a blast. The gameplay itself with the maneuverability and the titans is intricate in ways that other shooters don't approach. take it easy. Developers are already using it. Drivatars from Forza is a break thru idea, but I don't personally go for driving games. I have been enjoying Titanfall and the dedicated servers alone separate it from COD's lag fest. It will take time for these guys to make the most use out a new technology... should be a fun journey!
X1 definitely should be 1st console. It has better everything aside from graphics. Last gen PS3 definitely had an edge in the single player exclusives, but X1 is at least on the same level for now. I think this will tip back Sony's way with Uncharted and Beast but X1 will continue to be head and shoulders better in the multiplayer arena and they are just getting starting with the cloud servers. I agree partially...especially with what they did in the past but Titanfall is not a good example of this and we'll see what this new game is and how they are involved. not sure where you got 1.5m from but I think this game could be Shenmue. Unreal Tournament is another good possibility given their relationship with Epic and their goal to remain head and shoulders over Sony in the multiplayer arena.
Cant agree with you more Ed, I'm. having a ball with kinect as it adds a true next gen experience that I very much needed. Ive been gaming since the 80s so a change in gameplay is looong over due. Cant wait for dark dreams dont die......not sure why the gamespot guys have gone lame in the brain though....
good additions, but stopped playing Dragon Age myself after the first one... just didn't fit into my time budget. Are Uncharted and Halo confirmed for 2014? Not sure how they missed those two and Division. I am also anticipating Dark Dreams Don't Die and some of the indies.
Or they are just gamers that prefer multiplayer games to single player games....and now Xbox will have the advantage in every arena. But I’m sure you’ll still able to play the niche games that you think are so great on PS - if MS tried to emulate the single player cinematic experience at the cost of multiplayer they would lose their core fans. PS will always have a place as does Nintendo as long as each maintains their identity everyone wins.
