I agree - this game may take the thunder away from COD, BF, Halo... Prediction: Titan Fall, Destiny, Division will take 2014.
hopefully you are right about making it look bad, but I don't want anything to do with it either way. Same for my sons.
while I think LO was the best JRPG game released this gen, it didn't equate to sales in Japan. I hope you are right though.
Lost Odyssey is my all time favorite JRPG and will be timeless gem. MS needs to make sequels!
I'm sure GTA has a lot to offer gamers but I don't buy or play them due to the sexual content and other evils that it glorifies.
I agree with you heavy, but in addition to specs, features count and I'll take the X1 features over PS4 graphics any day. I've been gaming since Atari and do appreciate the graphical upgrades with each new generation, but what has me drooling for this next gen is the game changing innovations that X1 brings. I owned PS3, Wii, and 360 and played mostly on 360 due to the controller and xbox live. This next gen may be the first time I stick to One console...
If developers make the same exact games for both consoles then I would be more concerned about X1 getting gimped. The PS4 can only get gimped slightly on graphics which will not impact gameplay. The X1 can get gimped on Kinect and cloud features which does impact gameplay.
the good news is that in the end the graphical difference won't be much. How many times have you read that the graphical leap from the current gen to the next gen won't be as noticable? If that is true then what will the difference be between two next systems that are very similar? Do you want slightly better graphics? Or do you want next gen gameplay with dedicated Kinect 2, Azure cloud, and the ever vastly superior xbox live? Sony gamers will find themselves playing in the same...

have fun but I think your math is off. PS3 + better graphics = PS4. So far Deep Down and 1886 look appealing. 360 + better graphics + azure cloud + kinect 2 = X1 for a more complete next gen experience. So far D4, DR3, Halo, Sunset Overdrive, Forza, Fable Legends, Quantum Break, Below, Cobalt, TitanFall, Kinect Sports, Spark look appealing.
Titanfall, Quantum, and Black Tusk's game also are at the top of my list along with D4, DR3, Halo 4, Zoo Tycoon, Kinect Sports, and Fable Legends. Also like Cobalt, LocoRoco, and Below. Jury is still out on Sunset Overdrive (as Resistance sucked worse than KZ on PS) and Ryse (as it looks like same weapon and same enemy entire game?). I hope MS invests heavily in Rare so they can pump out new IP while rebooting their classics. In the end there are more games than I have time and money ...

The Sony fan boys will go into every level of detail why the PS4 will be more powerful than X1 with all these crazy numbers they don't understand; yet when they compare the clouds they skip all the details and just claim they are similar. They do the exact same thing with Kinect and Eye. Do yourself a favor and consider their nonsense free entertainment while you look forward to a truer next gen experience.
this is huge for PS4 early adopters as it gives them another compelling title in addition to 1886 while they wait for the heavy hitters to be announced. Doubt if it will come close to Demon Souls though... but if they add in better coop then it may not matter. Looks like it has much more potential than Ryse and DR3. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up against Fable.
I don't get the hype on this at all unless it serves as way to play PS4 multiplayer from one console. If that's the case then they just out innovated MS.
it really is funny when you see sony fan boys try to compare the X1 with the PS4. They will go into all kinds of detail how the PS4 is so much more powerful than the X1 which isn't even evident at this point but then they list both systems having the cloud and leave it at that without the slightest hint that the X1 cloud is vastly capable than the gaakai cloud... they do the same with Kinect vs Eye.... funny stuff.
don't forget muliplats will always be better on xbox because of the controller and xbox live except now the gap will widen further with Kinect and Cloud. As far as exclusives go Sony gets the nod with its sheer volumes. MS claims they are focusing on 1st party and they are, but I want to see how this plays out in three years when Sony releases its big guns. Both systems will rock!
yup, number 2 is definitely on the strange side. I would have replaced it with best controller or xbox live. Other four points are good but lacking details why X1 dominates in those categories.
last time I checked Guerilla makes B shooters compared to Halo and other AAA FPS. LBP was cool and creative... and boring. Infamous boring, but I heard Infamous 2 was a huge improvement. Naughty Dog games rock. Sony has good devs but Sony fan boys definitely over hype them. My favorite exclusive was Demon Souls but now the sequels are on Xbox. Naughty Dog is the only one still holding my attention on the PS side, while there are several on the Xbox side.
x1 may have slow start but will sell more in the casual market because of all its features just like PS3 numbers were boosted for blu-ray.
