Reminds me of the gameplay in Kingdom under Fire: The Crusades, which is interesting as we just got news on the latest KuF title today.
I rather enjoy this kind of tactical simulation -- command an entire army and not just swing a sword around. Nice change of pace.
Looks like another winner.
I concur heartily. I much prefer multi-player modes that arent just "big shoot'em ups". I can play Gears of War Annex for days on end. And really cant speak highly enough of the varied Multiplayer opportunities in Halo 3.
Overall, I look forward to buying it as I think a little modern drama and non-fantasy setting will add some diversity to the FPS genre.
"The closeness of the two spottings indicates that this early leak is the fault of whoever put a pallet on a truck without marking it with the correct ship date."
Doubtful. This early release is probably the fault of Major Retalier filling its channel without regard for the release date...
Probably not a "miss shipped pallet" as much as simply filling the shelves with what they had available.
You owe it to yourself to check out Kingdom under Fire: The Crusades. It is a terrific game, it has a tactial squad based battle mechanic. Really unique and very well executed.
Its an Xbox title, I picked it up used after having played it on a friends console. I had a (couple) Playstation 2 last gen, so I was really happy that the Xbox 360 had backwards capabilitiy just so I could go back and try all those Xbox games that I saw and liked.
I hope Circle of Doom...
Looks like great dungeon runner in the Gauntlet style. Looks like I'll be getting some more points cards.
Did you read any comments before this one?
The person responsible for Final Fantasy has left Square Enix. Final Fantasy is now being made by the Second-String.
Hironobo Sakaguchi -- the man who made FF 1-10 -- is making this game.
It makes *NO* sense to say "Im waiting for FFXIII and not Lost Odessey" as all the talented people responsible for FF have left and gone to Mistwalker to make Lost Odessey, Blue Dragon and Cry On (no details ye...
Hironobu Sakaguchi is working on a 3rd Xbox 360 title... Square Enix has already announced two games for Xbox 360 one of them by Tri-Ace of Star Ocean fame.
That said, there is a high probability that some of the big PS3 exclusives are going to have to go multi-platform if they want to sell any copies in the USA -- which is the largest market in the world --which is being dominated by Xbox 360.
The American stronghold is going to mean Japaneese Developers *MUST*...
From all that garbage, this one turd stunk a little more than the rest:
"if Pgr4 was on PS3 it would be take 6 or 5 score"
Now, Im not a big racing-game fan mind you. But, what does the world's gaming press think about racing games in the current generation?
Let me introduce you to a little reality son. Here is a list of the top racing games for Xbox 360 and PS3:

What he said: "I have a PS3 and Xbox 360 and $90 is too much for a year of LIVE service".
You do know that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are both more money in AU than USA?
Do you see a problem with the logic in what he is saying? That he has enough money to buy both the Boxes, is on a tight budget then complains about the cost of the service -- that is roughly the cost of a single game?
I call BS. He doesnt have a Xbox 360, he's just wanting to...
Have you seen this? The Lost Odessey intro scene; *THAT* is pretty amazing looking too. Not to knock ME, I'll be preordering it, but LO looks terrific.

The reason that Japan *will* come around on the Xbox 360. Released December 2007 in Japan, Feb. 08 in NA / EU.
"because it would ruined the hard work they did to maximize the 360's power."
Very clever. I see what you imply there. You are trying -- very subtly -- to imply that the Xbox 360's underpowered compared to PS3.
Nice try, but very wrong. From IGN's hardware comparison of the two:
"CONCLUSION: When you break down the numbers, Xbox 360 has provably more performance than PS3. Keep in mind that Sony has a track record of over promisin...
You dont have to wait for a die-size change. The Xbox 360 heat issues have already been fixed, and we already were told. And we've been seeing the improved hardware for months now.
Motherboard Version 1.1. This Motherboard has fewer components, smaller components, new layout, and a new CPU/GPU mounting methodology.

"It looks like a final fantasy game with no innovations besides better graphics and a distinct visual style."
Hironobo Sakaguchi is the Designer and creator of Final Fantasy.
Hironobo Sakaguchi is the Designer and creator of Lost Odessey.
Hironobo Sakaguchi has nothing to do with Final Fantasy. The games are unrelated to the previous works in any way besides the title.
If you like Final Fantasy, buy this game (or Blue Dragon) and ...
Cant you guys do your game invitations on PSN? And what is with the game list? Cant you just pull up a screen that compares your two libraries so that you can find one in common and invite the other to play?
Is this really the place to do your video-game scheduling?
Does PSN not have these features?
"not a big deal lmao if 33% is not"
You are _talking_out_your_arse_. Do you Work for Microsoft? Do you know what the failure rate is?
There has been ZERO release of that information from MS. There has been ZERO credible reporting that would support that number.
Do you have _ANY_ attachment to reality or do you just make things up?
I defy you to provide one credible source for that statement.

Well, then, the wait is over and I have some VERY good news for you Sccythesean.
The Xbox 360 heat issues have already been fixed, and we already were told. And we've been seeing the improved hardware for months now.
One of the first Elites were opened up to reveal Motherboard Version 1.1. This Motherboard has fewer components, smaller components, new layout, and a new CPU/GPU mounting methodology.
Look at this:
There were are a bunch of free Multiplayer maps for Gears of War (love annex in canals).
If there are any "systemic" necessities for a MP that should have been included, I imagine they'll release that for free.
Bioshock doesnt have a LIVE component beyond downloading the demo.
And, to 1.1 above, "everyone who wants to has played it". I havent bought my copy yet because Ive been busy finishing all the other games Ive bought.
I've yet to get my copy of Bioshock.
