Finally someone who "gets it". The game was designed with a visual flare, and distinct art-style. It is not supposed to represent the real world, but instead be spectacular fantasy.
I love the way Halo 3 looks. I still play it nearly daily... I find myself fighting between Halo 3 and Lost Odyssey these days.
Im probably going to pickup Frontlines this weekend. Its a great time to be a Gamer.
The USA is the largest producer and consumer of Video Games.
Yes, there is more, but the USA happens to be the largest player.
That said, on a wider note, a downturn in the US economy effects the whole world. They are a pretty important economy, and in these days, the economies are widely mingled.
If you're an adventure gamer, you might like WRPG, as they have a more real-time feeling. But, I think if you're a RTS gamer, you might like to look at JRPG for the more by-the-numbers battle system.
And, yes, Lost Odyssey is terrific in either case. If you've not played a *RPG in a while, try it.
To get a feeling of a WRPG, I'd recommend you buy Fable from Xbox Originals, its pretty low-cost and you'll get a ...
Are you kidding? Of course they care about sales, because volume makes marketshare for Software Sales (for themselves and for their 3rd Party Partners).
The rest of your conclusions are delusional, please, take it ->
MS has been a force in gaming for more than 20 years. They're going to move into the handheld gaming space next -- the Danger HipTop is going to be a wonderful portable Mobile Media & Gaming platform.
Oh, yeah, you guys are right. Every. Single. PS3 exclusive should have been on this list. Yep.
N4G sure has its head on straight, but those professional industry journalists, they are just biased/lazy/stupid/excuse.
Wasnt Motorstorm a pack-in? That would account for the sales methinks.
There was nothing wrong with the first game's framerate. What are you talking about?

The people who gave the award disagree with you. As do I.
As do the reviewers who regularily gave this game uniformly high marks -- INCLUDING for graphics.
It is really just a laugh riot that the anti-MSFT zealots are here trying to downplay what a terrific game Halo 3 is.
The reality is that it is a great third installment on a series of videogames that has no equal in its time.
Halo 1,2,3 is 97,95,94 on Metacritic. The average sc...
Its a beautiful game for sure. People seem to be thinking that photo-realistic and reality are what is necessary to look great.
That's not the case. Halo 3 has a art-style that is colourful and vibrant, the textures and models look great, the lighting and effects are great.
Just because it doesnt look "real" doesnt mean its not graphically stellar.
The Halo 3 haters are out in force.
"what is happening to all those PC/Arcade gamers? Are they buying consoles/games?"
Yes. At the height of The Arcade, there was a very big gap between the home machines of the day, and what was possible in a dedicated arcade machine.
Now days, the consoles are very capable of putting a good experience in everyone's home.
And, we've also seen a decrease in population density -- people just dont leave their houses anymore.

So, now all the Anti-MSFT trolls are going to scower the darkest depths of the interweb, and post the FUD served up by traffic-trolls?
N4G: GET YOUR SHTUFF TOGETHER.
This is 100% PATHETIC.
Just FUD trolling from some no-name looking for traffic.
But! The Anti-MSFT trolls who live on N4G so they can spread anti-MSFT FUD are going to approve bs spam after bs spam.
Sad sad sad.
Oh, hello fanboy troll.
They are asking for you ->
Hey troll ->

So, its pretty clear that Xbox 360 is dominating the largest market. Gotcha.
Shmups are very popular in Japan. Like Fighters. Not so much here in the West.
They love them some shmups.
@sonaras
Well, from your perspective, its not "major" because it is on Xbox 360.
Do you understand?
@1.1
These guys are usually under NDA. And, the industry players themselves arent Chatty-Cathys like the fanboy interwebs.

Yes, the heat issues were a bit of a speed-bump, but they did right by their customers, and have been duely credited for it.
And, the redesigned motherboards have put that problem behind them. This is no longer a major issue.

I can't wait.
