All kinds of fun tricks are possible.

Still shots of the three games doesnt say much about which game I'd like to play.
Now, compare all the NON-graphics elements of Forza 2, and GT5 has _much_ to be worried about.
Besides, Forza 2 & PGR4 are out _TODAY_. GT5 isnt due for 8 or more months (at best).
When GT5 ships, we should probably be seeing some screens of Forza 3 or PGR5... then, will we be here comparing an unfinished game to a game that has been out for 12 months?

Looking at those pictures, GT5 is exceeding Forza 2 -- lets see some video that give Forza's sense of motion some justice (the purpose for all that "blur" at the edges -- but no one can say it is "stomping" Forza 2.
Frankly, after all the hype, I expected to see the GT5 graphics actually exceed Forza 2 by "more".
But Forza 2's quality lies in physics, destructable models, weather, online features and on and on.

Look at those pics. One is for a beta GT5P, the other is for a game that is A YEAR OLD (Forza 2).
They dont look _that_ much different.
Forza 2: 90/100 & GT4 89/100 from Metacritic.

Oh, and BTW, Halo aside, the best videogames of the generation have been exclusive Xbox 360 games. Gears, Mass Effect, Forza 2 and BioShock have all been top rated games in their genre. NO OTHER GAMES have better review scores (except a couple nintendo 1st parties).

Why? Why is it "reported"? Two reasons:
A) There is an irrational, built-in machine that repeats and sensationlizes anything that makes microsoft look bad.
B) Any discussion of the Xbox 360 -- USING POINT A -- ends up in just EXACTLY this situation. People like you, hijacking any discussion of Xbox 360 to scream "ho ho ho heat failures...blah blah".

Its cross licensing. These big companies do these things all the time. I wouldnt be suprised if all three consoles infringe on patents owned by the others.
This patent is not the reason this feature isnt implemented. If it were the case, Sony would say so, and try to shame MS.

MS redesigned the mother-board to resolve the heat issues in mid-2007.
The heat-issue is behind them. And, every Xbox 360 user gets a free repair. It would have been nice if Sony fixed my 3 broken PS2s...
