You're still forgetting that the PSvita doesn't cost $299 for the base model it's $249.99.
And the $249.99 version will be the best-selling one, so for him to pick the 3G versions price and base his assumption on that is stupid, he shouldn't be called a Game Dev.
There's also the simple fact that a lot of gamers know that the 3DS wasn't worth $249.99 but the PSvita is so they will be willing to pay $249.99 for it, unlike the 3DS.

@Ju Yeah that's pretty much what Sony said, i remember watching some interview on Gamespot and they said that a 3G connection is just too unreliable.
The reason the 3DS didn't sell well is because it wasn't good value for money, the Playstation Vita on the other hand is.
By lowering the price Sony would make a loss on the PSvita whereas with the Nintendo Pricedrop they are already overcharging you anyway.
I'm going to be buying the PSvita because you get what you pay for with it, the 3DS on the otherhand was overpriced for what you get when it launched.
Unfortunately you can't play Games over the internet via 3G though.

This game looks a lot more like COD4 in terms of style and gameplay (not visuals) than Modern Warfare 2. And in my opinion that is a good thing.
I'm sorry but how is Metro:2033 not on that list? That game kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole thing, not many games can do that.
The last DLC for Cod: WaW came out in August.

It says that the Vitas memory is about 10x that of the PSP and considering the PSP has 64mb or Ram that means that the vita has got ~640mb of Ram.
This leads me to believe that it is 512mb of RAM as opposed to the 256mb that it was RUMOURED to have dropped to.
Because Sony paid them to create it for the Xperia play.

@BadCircuit It's okay to see problems if they are actual problems. Some of the points are grabbing at thin air though, especially the one about playing games over 3G when Sony have already confirmed that you won't be able to play games over 3G as it just isn't reliable enough.
How? They only announced that Massive price drop because the 3DS was failing in sales NOT to beat the Vitas price.
If the 3DS sold well at $250 then i'm pretty sure there wouldn't have been a price drop, the simple matter of the fact is that the 3DS wasn't worth $250 though and many gamers know that and subsequently didn't buy it. However a lot of gamers KNOW that the Vita is well worth the price that Sony are asking and hopefully it will sell well.
