On the PS3, will E3 PS3 coverage be streamed on a specific app or channel? Is this for the US only?
Edit: Sorry IO didn't read the description. W00t for live streaming; however, I won't be able to watch it since it's gonna be 5:30AM where I am at that time.
Devs surely love evading HD when it comes to JRPGs, and resorting to handhelds for this matter. But one can't resist wondering: What would the devs do when even handhelds go HD? Would JRPG devs completely stop making JRPGs?
On the side note: The Wii-U makes me excited, not because I love Nintendo since I'm a PS3 gamer most of the time, but because Wii-U will mark the era of all-HD consoles. This means, devs that made JRPGs for the Wii in SD will be forced to make them...
Go, ND! I would be shocked if they also show us Multiplayer in the form of horde mode of sorts; however, Heroes vs. Madmen vs. Antpeople online competitive mode sounds like a good idea!
I'm betting that by 2015, since Activision has I think 3 devs working on one CoD game each, the CoD series will have 'outnumbered' FF series by 1. By 2016 we will have CoD: Black Ops 3, Modern Warfare 4, and World at War: 2100.
On the side note 2016 will also be the release of FFvs13... Forgive my sarcasm. :(
@Tiqila, no one is really asking Blizzard to separate offline from online. No one even implied that offline be separated from online, like the one you mentioned "an offline mode that restricts your offline character + equipment to be used offline only (so that no cheated items can be sold via auction house)."
If you played Diablo 2, your characters offline are the ones you use online. It's just that offline was really offline, none of this always-online DRM thin...
Hmmm... I can't brush off their every right to give this game a high score, but I don't think this game deserves a 9.5. The highest score I could give it is 7. One big minus is the always online DRM. The story is also very predictable.
Edit: And this is coming from a Diablo 2 enthusiast.
I want this game on my PS3 now! Oh, wait. We still need Xillia!
Selling well and having an always on internet just to play a supposed offline mode are two different things. D3 is not a fiasco in sales, maybe, but it is when it comes to DRM.
I agree with this article. Always online DRM has to be a concept and should be scrapped after this D3 fiasco.
If PCs is the future of gaming, I cringe at the DRM fiasco devs strut. Diablo 3's anti-piracy move is just so ridiculous. Sorry, but I'd rather game on my console and enjoy offline single player games, no internet connection required.
@Clemins50, though I find that to be mostly true, I think the reason why GTTV always covers PS3 exclusive games is that PS3 floods the gaming industry with exclusives. To put it short: The PS3 these days is the only console that announces new games, both sequels and new IPs.
The battle in Graces F is one of the best, if not THE best yet, in Tales of games history. My friends who bought the Japanese version of Xillia said that Xillia's battle is even better.
On topic: I hope this new game comes out on the PS3. I hope it's exclusive, if not make it multiplatform.
Yeah, man. Chill out. The vid showed a locale similar to Uncharted 2's City of Nepal level.
First! The vibe is definitely Uncharted. Color me re-intrigued!
I want a Metal Gear that's as accessible and sumptuous as the original on the PSX. I also miss playing Metal Gear Online.
I've been an RE fan since RE1 on the original PSX, yet I can't find myself wanting this game. RE5 must've really tarnished the franchise for me. Sigh...
If RE6 captures that RE4, at the very least RE3, vibe, then there's a big chance it will win back lost fans. I for one didn't like RE5 that much, having a forced co-op and all. That said, I believe the thing that I didn't like the most in RE5 was that it was too point-A-to-point-B. Sure it gave you a map where you can run around in, but that star at the end of each stretch for a checkpoint killed it for me.
Just give me 1 year, Sony. When all of my debts have been paid, I will support the Vita. I hope by then cross-play is already well established. Still, even if that's not going to be the case, I will buy a Vita and enjoy its games to support you.
On the side note: Sony has been generous enough to give us many games in the previous years. It's only right to show them our love back by buying their products more. Yay, Sony!
This only means that you can never please everyone. However, if you pleased fans with KZ2, why please the other fans?
I hope that someday, Konami works on a 2D Castlevania game that's as deep and rewarding as SOTN on the HD consoles; I prefer it on the PS3 of course.
SOTN had one of the best, if not the best, environment traversal in the Castlevania series. Areas have multiple paths and secrets to uncover. Sigh... I wish the PSX days!
