This is day one for me!
I want this game localized too!
Well, this could happen; however, if the devs are going to optimize the game with the PS3's infrastructure in mind, they could very well just focus on the PS3.
Personally, I want everyone to enjoy this game. But if quality is going to suffer, I'd rather they develop this game on one console -- my preferred choice is the PS3.
I now have even more high respect for Mr. Baba-san after reading his comments. He knows that his product, the Tales series, is his baby, and that growing it does not mean alienating the fans with mechanics that don't meld well with the base identity of the series.
Thing is, ToX incorporates more realistic physical proportions for the characters, as opposed to the previous titles' cartoonish character renders. This is a good addition; however, Baba-san knows his limits...
This boldness and risque attitude by Sony realized by game devs like Giant Sparrow and the like will set Sony as the go-to company when it comes to unique, if not risky, games.
I will try and purchase this game just to show my appreciation of Sony-Giant Sparrow boldness.
Thank you, sir. But looking back at my post, I was really thinking about TA when I was posting it. I get what you mean in that one man's mistake is not the group's mistake; however, this doesn't take away the fact that NT and Capcom chose him to be both companies' spokeperson when it comes to DmC. Did they coach him on what to say to the gaming media? Who knows? All I know is when everything was said and done, NT and Capcom kept on ignoring the fans' outcry.
I must admit that the game is shaping up to be a great title; probably not the DMC we came to love. However, that said. I still won't be picking this game up for the sole reason that Ninja Theory has bad-mouthed fans and the original DMC devs alike that my respect for NT has waned.
So yes, the game looks nice, but the devs weren't so in the span of making this game. This, my friends, only proves that humility and kindness go a long way.
I will buy this game and blog about it. This will be Demon's Souls all over again in which case got famous through word of mouth and the game's sheer quality!
Silent Hill: Downpour has several elements that work for the benefit of it. A good example is its sidequest system.
Many people thought that the sidequests would ruin the game, but it turned out that Vatra implemented these sidequests in a way that only further accentuates the game. Seriously, the sidequests will give you the creeps. They will leave you astonished at how twisted the minds of the other residents have become!
Sorry for talking a bit too long ab...
Silent Hill: Downpour is a nice SH title. It could hold its own against previous SH titles in the story department. The only 2 problems with it are mostly the glitches and persistent framerate drops.
SH: Downpour's sidequests are also implemented well that doing or partaking in one never feels forced and only adds to the chilling atmosphere of the town and its mind-twisted residents.
Now that Konami has approached Hideo Kojima to spearhead the next SH tit...
@palaeomerus,
I'd rather have new IPs every year than only 3 sell-out titles over and over. Some new IPs aren't all that very excellent, but at least risking to launch new IPs bring potential new series. But how about focusing on a few, yearly exclusives and over time they get stale? This is why, in the long run, Sony will still prosper. And it's not like Sony is not earning from thrid party titles; They're just not over-investing on them. They invest on new IPs!
I am willing to donate half of my 15-day salary as pledge to get this game done!!!
Would you want an RE2 remake with RE4's perspective? They could add more scenarios to make the game last 16-20 hours, just like RE4's game length.
Answering my own question: I would say yes, if done right.
I was able to finish Leon's demo and I liked the walk and shoot thing; however, Chris' demo was really a shooter. Luckily, I guess, I was still able to finish the demo. Now when I played jake's demo, I had to quit the game at the site of more enemies after you go down the chute. Seriously, I literally felt like my chest was burdened; like I was suffocating, Right then and there I knew that I won't be picking this game up day one.

I think I'm in the minority here. I'm from the Philippines and sad to say most of us here need to use other neighboring countries as our selected user country. I use HK and I get booted out completely of PSN 90% of the time. The error code is 8002A512 or something like this.
It's weird since this never happened to me in other online games. What I do know, however, is that other people across the globe experience this. But, yeah, we might be in the minority here.
I wish this patch eliminates the PSN crash bug, in which players, including myself, get booted out completely of PSN. I'm going to tweet Harada later tonight just to confirm if this will be taken care of in the next patch.
4 months to go until we get this beaut! I want to pre-order this now!
I'll save my judgment after I play the game, but on the concept of slapping 3 campaigns in one game to make it longer is, for me, a bit lazy.
This move could either move consoles for the Wii-u and gain its fanbase or lessen Bayonetta's fanbase significantly for focusing on only one console. It's just a mindset guys, think Wii-u is just trying to secure exclusives. Sony has tons of them, MS also has a few, why not Wii-u?
I know a lot here is angered about the announcement, but this is the course of action for B's devs that they think they could benefit from. Let's respect that.

I love Ted and how he's trying to shed some light on the story of this new game. I believe he's trying to make us see how he sees this game. That said, I'm sorry, all I'm seeing is a 4-player co-op shooter game that's just reminiscent of Resistance 2's co-op mode.
For R2, the co-op was fine, being an added mode and all that. But for a retail, new IP game like this, I guess I was expecting so much more. Sigh...
