FFXIII was, simply put, a game failure. Wait, I didn't say a commercial failure, mind you. SE got it all wrong when they thought an FF game could borrow heavily on, say, a fast-paced game like CoD.
You see CoD is linear in which when you're done with a chapter, most of the places in that chapter will be inaccessible in the remaining parts of the game.
SE, on the other hand, thouht having a fast-paced game could easily translate to literal linearity. ...
That's 5 stars right there. I can't wait for MMs new game, which is rumored to be yet another high-production title.
Maybe the number of players who quit playing D3 are actually those who could only play when D3 issues maintenance. Lol!
Co-op and Competitive I'm okay with both. For Competitive MP, however, it could be a match between team heroes and team scavengers while the Clickers roam the map. You can use these Clickers to your advantage, of course.
I'll give you a big 'touche' for that one. Seriously, the game might be an improvement over 13, but no one asked for a sequel to a game that's not even well-received by the majority of the FF fan base.
Edit: And now there are rumors that FFXIII-3, or FFXIII-2-2 as a poster here jokingly posted, are looming in the gaming horizon. Ehh...
Congrats to Naughty Dog! I'm so happy to be gamer knowing that my platform of choice has already established diversity in games. I'm excited for the prospect that is the PS4. Who knows what ND, MM, GG, and many more first party devs have to offer! I can't wait!!!
I lol'd. Hmmmm, maybe Apple's console can turn your regular TV set into a touch panel. I don't know how they can pull this off, but if they could, expect your screen to be filled with rainbow-arced finger prints and skids!
Some things are nice in FFXIII-2, like throwing the moogle to access certain areas and a few awesome distractions. However, when a game sports too many DLCs (I'm looking at you mini-game DLCs!), that's when you know something is off.
Well I guess you're right. It was wanted, not because FFXIII was as good as FFX, but because fans wanted FFXIII done right. FFXIII-2 had a checklist of missteps from FFXIII and checked them all out.
I'm not gonna argue with sales here, but if we go by that, and if I also base my judgment on sales and company shares, I think SE isn't doing very well compared to their performance in the last generation.
SE, just give us what we 'want' in the...
I lol'd!
Judging by the majority of posters here wanting a 3rd game in the FF13 series, I say SE's tactic, albeit a cheap one, works. The incompleteness of the ending that is FFXIII-2 left most of the posters here to want FFXIII-3. This gives SE all the more reason to stunt vs13 and release an unwanted game nobody cared about in the first place.
13-3? Seriously, SE?
It means they love Capcom that the release a platform, similar to how rerelease games, with slightly better screen size and whatnot.
Seriously, they should stop this trend, lest they get that same 3DS backlash in which a lot of people thought it was another platform upgrade rather than a successor to the DS.
See what ignoring fans does to a company. They start to tease something and most fans already react negatively. SE, you can't blame these people; you did this to yourself.
The Last of Us is a testament that games do evolve, if and when the right devs work on them. This notion excites me because who knows what games ND will do in the next, say, 5 years?
Considering that Capcom has a knack for releasing the same game with add-ons and stuff 6 months past the release of the original version, I'm going to be patient and wait; I've been stung by the uber-steroidified (is there such a word? :D) game that was RE5, and I think I'll just save my money for the first six months.
On topic: I hope RE6 doesn't disappoint, just to be optimistic. Bottom line is, if the game delivers, then good for Capcom; if it doesn't, ...
Even through a cam, Ni no Kuni proves to be a graphical beauty. I've been hearing generally great previous about this game, both from friends and bloggers. If that is anything to go by, I strongly believe that this game will deliver.
On the side note: It is indeed sad that the Japanese gamers didn't buy into this game as expected when it launched; I hope Western and English-only gamers gather together and support this game. I know I will!
Assassin's Creed 3 was good, but with the over-saturation in the names of Brotherhood and Revelation, I no longer get hyped for AC, personally.
Not being a troll here, but MS really needs to step their game up. Monopolizing their core gamers with Halo/Forza/Gears/Fable sequels, albeit in turns, is becoming a stale tactic. I don't have an Xbox 360, but I feel for those other 360 gamers out there who are expecting more in the sense of new IPs from their preferred system; an experience the Sony brand has been delivering for a long time now.
Yeah, he had one more bullet in that vid whereas in the E3 footage he already lost all bullets when that guy was behind cover.
Naybe they'll also tease its online multiplayer of sorts. If the game doesn't have any MP I'm still fine with it. Can't wait!
