Guys, guys, PSX is confirmed for this year on December 9 and 10! I am saying this because I am guessing we'll get solid release dates for God of War and Days Gone on their main conference there.
On-topic: I love it that there's a touch of humor and groundedness in this GoW reboo-quel. That elfish man in armor, the one Kratos missed fire with his axe, I am loving already. His son is also an interesting addition to Kratos' story. I can't wait to learn about t...
It's a real remake and I am loving it! Imagine hanging on to that bird as it flies you around--amazing!
I liked what I saw of this game. It's from Supermassive, so I am confident I will experience something fresh and exciting like I did playing Until Dawn!
That release date could've made Sony's E3 press conference a winner for me, which gets you to think, "What other spine-tingling announcements does Sony have for us later?"
Look I really appreciated the 1-2 punch of game trailers that MS did, and I even rate the entire conference with a good 7.5 out of 10; however, with an open mind, it really didn't blow my mind away in any form. The only time my heart leapt for Xbox fans was when the OG Xbox BC announcement was made, though even that--I thought--wasn't enough.
I was really rooting for a new AAA IP or a thundering third party deal with a well-known dev, but nothing was announced of th...
I hope they make the first one super cheap on PSN, or much better free for PS Plus!
Sony:
-The Order: 1886 sequel. It will receive a gameplay trailer, similar to how Horizon: Zero Dawn was first revealed.
-PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale sequel.
-A new From Software souls-like IP exclusive to the PS4
-God of War gameplay trailer and solid release date (early 2018)
-Detroit: Become Human Q4 2017 release date
I truly loved the first one, but if there's one thing that I wanted more fleshed out was the 'balance of power' game mechanic. In part 2, I wish they make it more defined; like enemies surrender and run away depending on how ruthless and ready you are in battle.
Awesome! The Philippines has really started to catch up in the gaming world. I just hope this continues, so come next gen, PH gets its own PlayStation store and network.
The score is IGN's infamous "If we had to score it now..." score. This 9.5 score is still a placeholder. I thought I'd throw it out there.
I do believe that the Scorpio is MS' next-gen console in disguise. Sure, it might support the vanilla Xbox One (including the S), but with the way MS is marketing the Scorpio, it would be illogical to support it forever. My take? After a year, the MS will allow devs to make games exclusive to Scorpio alone. Otherwise, I can see the point of this article. I mean if Scorpio is just a beefed up Xbox One, only a fraction of Xbox fans would want to buy it if they already have the vanilla versi...
I feel you. FFX was the last FF that truly captured my interest on the narrative front. At this point, I would be much more excited if we get an FFIX Remaster/Remake announced at E3 than a new FF.
FFXIII, although lacked a lot in many areas, had a cohesive, understandable (though convoluted) narrative. I won't play it again, but compared to FFXV in terms of story, I'd choose XIII any day. FFXV totally did not nail the narrative no matter how you spin it.
You know what can be more exciting surrounding the Xbox Scorpio? If only MS makes the Scorpio a bridge console, meaning, for about a year, games coming out for it will also be available on the original/slim versions of the Xbox One, but then after that it will make next gen games exclusively for it.
My point is, as wonderful graphical and performance upgrades sound, if I can get those games on the vanilla version of the said console, many people will not bother. For me and ...
Just seeing that alleged Bloodborne II screenshot convinces me by the day that it should be more than just a hoax. I have a strong feeling that, at least, something from From Software will be announced at Sony's E3 conference next month.
This excitement in my writing is enough to tell you that I am already on board though!
Cool! I have yet to fully play the first one though (I got it free on PSN). I get distracted by the main protagonist's looks though; she has strong physical semblance to Taylor Swift really!
In all honesty, I think what MS should do is to make a brand new console and market it in such a way that will remove the FPS/Arcade Driving stigma attached to the Xbox platform. I know they tried mimicking Sony and how it caters to many types of gamers with variety, but I felt like they fell short.
Thing is, MS found success in Halo, Gears and Forza that they somehow relied too much on them. As a result, many people that do not own any of the Xbox consoles have this thinki...
Hmmm... I have a 32-inch full HDTV, so this isn't a big deal; however, considering they've taken quite a long time to make the console port, they should have been AT LEAST able to bump this game to full HD resolution.
Looking at the graphics, I am quite baffled why MS didn't just make this game part of their backwards compatibility program. Oh, but then again, PD was an original Xbox game and not 360. That said, this game is not doing anyone a favor. Compounding the measly Xbox One exclusives are some Phil Spencer comments that suggest single player experiences are dying and online-centric titles should be more focused on.
I played the very first .Hack and thought it was a decent game. Then came the slew of sequels and I found myself disinterested. I guess, and this is purely my opinion, the title and all the backslashes and codes overwhelmed and alienated me away from the series. I don't know why many Japanese devs with their niche games like read-unfriendly titles.
