The auto-capture feature in FFXV surely does enhance the bond between the main characters, but I wouldn't say that it enhances the story on a technical level. Let's just face it, FFXV story didn't resonate well, because of too many plot holes and missed opportunities in terms of story cohesion.
Feeling the need for post-game patch to amend FFXV's narrative is telling that the story wasn't really up to snuff.
I hope FFXVI's developm...
Zelda: BotW surely is a great contender for GoTY this year, no doubt. That said, I wouldn't remove Horizon: Zero Dawn and Nioh from the equation. I dare say Persona 5 will also brute its way through the GoTY list! I want to play BoTW, but I might wait until early next year when, presumably, all hardware bugs have been fixed!
It was a risk, because they could have gone the RE6 route, but didn't. They could have copied the RE4 formula to the T, but didn't. Sure, the first person screams Amnesia, but it sets itself apart from a gameplay perspective. And as far as atmosphere and replayability are concerned, RE7 has them. I played the game 4 times. Nice game overall! I can't wait for RE8.
Awesome, awesome, awesome reviews! I don't have the game yet, but the screenshots my friend has been posting on Facebook mesmerizes me to say the least! I will get this game before Monday next week, since 13 March is an Australian holiday! Woohoo!
Congrats to Capcom. They took a risk, and it paid off. Can't wait for the free DLC!
So if Scorpio is just like the PS4 Pro, and no exclusive game is coming for it, what sort of new experience can people expect from and be excited about it outside better performance? Let's face it, even if you have a powerful console, but you have dwindling games to play on, it won't matter. If only the Scorpio is a new console, people can be more excited for it, because they would think it's going to be a revolution and woo in devs to make tons of games for it. But, no, MS said i...
At this stage, having no Bluetooth support for headset use and the lack of Ethernet port are not looking good for Nintendo. I also heard from at least three sources (including IGN) that the docked Switch experience is kinda underwhelming. I'll wait for a year before I buy a Switch. I hope, by then, Nintendo has already made some hardware/software tweaks to their newest console.
I am thankful for N4G, because I no longer need to click out and actually visit some sites that clearly and simply want clicks.
If this service allows you to gain access to brand new games, for example Halo 6 at launch at 9.99 USD a month, then I see value in it; however, if not, and if this service only cycles in games some months (maybe 6 months) after a game releases, then I don't think so. The discount you can get for buying a game that's about to cycle out is cool, but PS Plus is already doing this--at least in my region (Hong Kong).
I don't see this service as a threat to Sony, con...
I think Nioh, Horizon: Zero Dawn and, Nier: Automata are enough to last me the entire 2017 in gaming. Phew, Sony, what else have you got? Oh right... Persona 5 and Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom!
I'd rather they make another Prince of Persia. That said, I like the Egyptian mythology enough to at least be interested in this somewhat.
I give For Honor an "honor" for sporting quality graphics, but Nioh takes the entire praise cake in terms of overall game quality. I can't wait for Nioh's free and paid DLCs!
I thought the game was ok, but was too electric and chaotic for me. Not that I have the console to play it on, but even if I had, I would have played other Xbox games instead.
On a side note, the next Spider Man game by Insomniac Games would probably be more in line with my open world tastes.
I liked what I have seen so far, but I may be bias in thinking so, because their pitch appeals to me (I grew up in the 90s playing classic survival horror games the likes of Silent Hill and Resident Evil). I am not so sure about having three protagonists in the game though. I wish they just focus on just one character, so they can come up with a more focused story. That said, if they can pull it off, then why not?
The console race might not be the Olympics, but it still is a competition. If it's not, why make a Scorpio? MS could make an Xbox similar to the Wii if this is their logic. Also, why drop the Kinect into oblivion? Yes, it's because they still want to be relevant in the console space. PR talk, ugh...
It's ok to have a band of characters and give them equal "screen time", but the problem with FFXII was, 1/3 of the group didn't have enough motivations to be part of the story. Vaan and Penelo are the two main culprits. In recent memory, though it's not a game, Stranger Things (the TV series) was directed and presented in such a way that most of the characters can be considered the "mains". I can't say the same for FFXII.

Sorry for the reflection and the blurry note. :)
The mission select approach to this game works for its benefit; however, I would welcome a persistent open world in the sequel. Regarding the new content and DLCs, yeah, again, the mission select makes them fit right in nicely.
Persona 5! Boom!
