Commenting on the thumbnail... I had a hard time pinning who's the main hero in FFXII. First I thought it was Vaan, but then Ashe seemed to have the personality to be it. The story also didn't resonate with me that much, unlike the previous FFs.
I've heard this next CoD will take things back to the series roots--meaning, a reboo-quel of sorts (real WWII war setting to be quite frank). So from the time Advanced Warfare came out up to the last CoD, how many CoDs did they release ignoring the outcry of many gamers concerning series fatigue? I'm asking because I want to know how many times a dev needs to hear from fans in order to learn they need to listen.
And I can't wait to be told. Gaming to me these days is a bit time consuming--first with Nioh and now this. I refuse to have first world problems like this! :)
You know what? I'd like Phil Spencer to be part of Sony. I think he'll be more appropriate to represent the PS brand along with Shu and the others.
Yeah, Tekken 7 is really taking its time to release. It was released in the arcades sometime in 2015, and the console release of most Tekken games usually happen a year after, so in T7's case, it should have been released in 2016. Well Harada said the decision to push the game's release date to June 2017 was difficult but necessary in order to deliver a complete Tekken game. I just hope the network is as smooth as butter, or I'm gonna flip!
Anyway, I am hyped fo...
I completely missed this franchise back in the PS1 days, considering I was mainly hooked on JRPGs and the like. I thoroughly enjoyed Jak and Daxter though. I have no reason to miss this franchise again. Excited!
I agree with you guys. I don't get the forced-in sex in games in the previous generation going into the current. The only in-game sex that I consider classy and not forced was in Indigo Prophecy, but I can live without such in my games to be honest.
Building good relationships without the use of sex is definitely the way to go.
It's better if we put it this way: Nioh is the start of something fresh for Team Ninja, while Ninja Gaiden is something they can revive at some point after Nioh's success. They can go the From Soft and Naughty Dog's route of alternating titles every two or so years.
Anyway, I love Nioh; thank God for that! :)
Nioh was a surprise hit from a mile away. It's a game believed to be a Dark Souls clone, but it has mechanics and gameplay elements that truly set it apart from its obvious inspiration, and these aspects make it a somewhat old-new experience.
So far, the only thing that grates in me is the time-consuming outlying mechanic that is the smithing. Team Ninja can make this feature more streamlined and user friendly next time.
A Guide to Effectively Utilizing the Blacksmith's Services would have been a far more appropriate headline for their article.
I love Xenogears. A remake would be more than welcome. I though Monolith Soft developed Xenogears, but I found out it was Square, so it's possible to have this game to revived and made into a franchise?
Can we report this and have it removed? What's next? "Install size for the Last of Us 3 on the PS5 rumored to be revealed"?
After Nioh, I consider this my next purchase that I am really excited about. Beautiful trailer!
Edit: Those Higgledies are so adorable and charming! They're mighty vicious too!
Demon's Souls was an awesome game, and a good bulk of its sales success happened through word of mouth. I am going to expect another From Software + Sony partnership this year, and that a new game will be announced at E3. Demon's Souls 2 anyone?
Yes, that could work too! :)
The reveal trailer looks like this game has potential. I need to see actual gameplay before I can consider myself completely interested. I am placing my bet on a point-and-click adventure game ala Heavy Rain, not Walking Dead by Telltale.
Ok Nioh, enough showing off with all these superb 9 scores! :)
Boom! Not that I needed IGN's review, but this is truly a meaty game! Can't wait for tomorrow!
I wish RE8 continues with this new-old direction. Capcom was able to achieve its vision, and recapture its roots with Resident Evil 7, and that if they just brave the unwarranted criticisms, they will have more success with RE8. I say let RE7 run its course. If you dislike this new RE it's ok. To each his own. As for me, the majority of critics and many RE fans, we will remember this game as a great successor to RE1, 2, 3 and 4.
My local game store gave me a Nioh poster along with the game. Looking at it on the wall gives you this empowering feeling!
