Capcom shocked me with that trailer. I didn't realize that it's the RE2: Remake until I saw young-adult Leon. I thought the trailer was for Overkill's The Walking Dead. Whaaa! I want this game now! Sony's presser may be short, but it was sweet indeed!
What an awesome gameplay reveal. This game just blew me away! The verticality looks promising, although I kinda anticipated that kind of stuff in this game. Whew, SP you are awesome. I thank God for devs like you!
The trailer was meaty. Many additional mechanics are in place: shooting while lying down, being able to hide under vehicles, dodging. Cool! Can't wait for a release date. Overall, the Sony presser was sumptuous to say the least.
@morganfell, what you said rings true, though it makes me feel a little alienated since I have become accustomed to the way Soulsborne narratives have been told--you know less handholding. Still, this is cool!
MS acquiring NT is a good move. Xbox need focused single player experiences, and I think NT can give such to many of Xbox's fans.
The resurgence of samurai games makes me believe that Onimusha is making a comeback. This one in particular gives me that Tenchu vibe which makes it unique with that Soulsborne gameplay. I was expecting Bloodborne 2 to be announced at Sony's presser really, but this one looks awesome. This and Ghost of Tsushima will definitely scratch that samurai itch I got since Nioh!
I would like it if Freya gets to don her Queen of Valkyries armor again to try and exact revenge on Kratos, but not in a straightforward way. What I have in mind is this: anytime in the game world Kratos will have a random encounter with every one of the nine Valkyries (in their physical forms) until Freya gets to confront Kratos herself. And then Kratos will show her mercy and Freya gets to have a change of mind.
Could be a code name for a new Tales game. Enterteria gives me a chuckle though!
I tried the DmC demo before it came out, and as much as I tried to have an open mind playing it, it just didn't click with me. I thought the gameplay wasn't as fluid as its predecessors' and the level design was a bit too bombastic,
On-topic: I am excited for a proper Devil May Cry sequel, and, of course, for the RE2: Remake. If Capcom announces a new Onimusha title for the current gen, I would flip!
I am one of those who bought this game, and I am glad I did. That said, Heavy Rain is still my top QD game of all time. This is just me. Detroit screams quality, but its resonance is not on the same level as Heavy Rain in my opinion.
There is a cave somewhere in the River Pass where you get one of the artifacts in shallow water. The walls surrounding that collected water has signs all over it. I think it holds some secret.
I agree with the headline. I wish there was a human character to somehow balance things out, and also to have a more traditional gameplay, where the hi-tech scanning of your surroundings is disabled.
Mixed reviews are to be expected in games like this. I am just happy to see that Detroit is getting lots of praises for the kind of game that it wants to be.
@mikeslemonade
If you fight the level 80+ bounty monsters, I bet you'd cry like a baby at least once or twice. :D
If true, then I'll be sure to get this game no matter what; if it is for the PS4 that is. This is the only PS2 game that I really wanted to play but couldn't because I had to sell my PS2.
There's no stopping Sony from announcing a big third-party exclusive in the guise of Devil May Cry 5 (which has been heavily rumored to indeed be exclusive to the platform). That said, I still believe Sony is going to reveal one unannounced first-party PS4 exclusive before they wrap up the show. ;)
Days Gone's days are here! More exclusives from Sony is always good!
I have a good feeling about this game. I think I have seen enough of its gameplay to say that they got my money come release day. I want to know when it's going to be released now!
@Foxtrot, I just want a Lara that I can identify with somehow; a Tomb Raider where I would have a good chuckle every once in a while. CDs trilogy is fine--it's just that the games that make up this series are too dark for me, and Lara keeps getting bloodied--from her own wounds--in every iteration. So, in a sense, I want that "closer" to the former TR games kind of Lara, without the overblown breasts.
Anyway, I don't really want to say this but take God of...
After that reveal, Death Stranding is still shrouded in mystery. There is something Kojima is still hiding here. Nonetheless, awesome showing for DS. I wish Kojima gives more gameplay details soon.
