Speaking for PirateThom, it has nothing to do with the xBox, MGS2 and 3 were also released on xBox. The thing is, you can sneak Kojima on stage at E3, you can shout all you want about "Metal Gear" finally coming to xBox, but it's just bullshitting your customers. MGR isn't MGS, Lightning Bolt Action isn't Tactical Espionage Action. No Snake in the game, no Kojima at the helm...this is a spin-off. Might be a fun game, but it's no MGS, it's not a part 5 in a master...
Good news for the fans of GRiD, but for me GRiD was one of the biggest disappointments this gen. Why? DTM Racedriver 3, their last game last gen, miles better & no Hollywood BS, and although graphically a bit less the DTM series still outshined Gran Turismo imo. DTM had all the races, good handling, and most of all the pure racethrills that GT so lacked last gen.
But with GRiD the beloved Codies went nuts. Apperently they had to in order to survive next to Forza & GT, but I di...
Well Garfield, I think I can tell you how that plan worked out, but only as a gamer, not a shareholder. It meant multiple great exclusive games in multiple genres to choose from, every year, offline and online. I play games, not sales, I can play all the multiplatform games I want. I still play MAG, sales or not.
How it worked out for Sony? Ask them, go read the financial pages and place your comments there. This is N4Gamers, I want to read here about new games. Why even star...
No, do not ban these articles, it's nice to read about all that BS they have to go through before some pirated games may work, some not, for some time. Download this and don't do that, don't ask us and don't tell them, at your service and at your own risk:) Compatibility? We don't know, but some might work even beyond E3!
Best of all, those huge letters saying PSN IS BACK! Really? Never knew it was gone...funny how they never post articles here when their ...
Then why did you spawn? Why press X to spawn when you can see the match is already won by the opposing team BEFORE you spawn? Games do not always end in a stalemate, some teams actually win, and the (pre-spawn) map shows that, so you can still select another game, from the serverlist.
But no, I'm not using the serverlist and it's filters, I do not check on the balancing options and vehicle loadouts, I do not check the map before I actually join the action...I just use...
Kid's not to bright. Use the freaking game/serverlist. You can see what games haven't started yet, see the vehicle setup, see how the host set the balancing options. Then after loading, you see the map. Don't jump in if your spawn is all red, select another game. Host one yourself.
And if you don't like the way they kill you, give-em a taste of their own medicine instead of crying out a review. Booo fucking hoo. Somebody's a pain in the ass? Find a solutio...
You're right, but on the other hand: as much as it is pure fun, Starhawk is not for the masses like CoD is. There's a lot to learn, winning takes more thinking and strategy than your avarage shooter.
And there's plenty of people playing, every mode on every map. I think there's a special audience for this game that knows it's finally here and will keep it alive for years, just like Warhawk. The avarage shooter usually only lives untill the sequel arrives in 1 or 2 ...
It's accurate, in fact I haven't seen any lag so far, but I choose my games from the serverlist, you can see if your connection is good or bad, most are good btw.
But Starhawk is not so much about the shooting, the shooting is even kind of bland and boring. The fun (BIG fun) is in using the vehicles and buildings. If you care about upgradable weapons, iron sights and differences in recoil, Starhawk is probably not the game to get. I myself like this basic, simple appr...
His wishlist: pretending CoD is exclusive, hoping on exclusives that just aren't there, more on multiplats, the annual praising of Live by the numbers, not too much Kinect this year:) and Halo 4. Wow!
Check the very last sentence, this review is based on 8 hours of SP and a mere 2 hours of multiplayer. Two hours.
I'm having a break right now, and although I'm loving the action like nothing before I admit the game isn't perfect and could use some more balancing here and there, the fora are full of it. But the core is brilliant and very well put together. Took LBI years to make, so he starts his review with something on devs daring to do something new, yet he onl...
Well, first you'll have to ask dad to buy you a PS3 and wait for your birthday to get the game, and after that you'll probably run to mommie crying because dear Sony outfitted your Dark Sniperrifle with a big ol' laserbeam so yo can be spotted from miles away:) You do know about that laserbeam do you?
We'll be laughing our pants of should this troll ever make it online. Darksniper drops, Darksniper spends the next 5 minutes figuring out how to get out of that ...
Jup, add something and there's only more to complain about for some. Imo a good reviewer should recognise this is a MP game and explain that to his readers, this was build for MP, the score reflects the MP and if you want a good SP with a good story, do not buy this game. In 2012 it's weird to see a brilliant MP game get lower scores (not here) because of the SP that clearly was meant as a tutorial the predecessor missed.
That said, and after a lengthy beta, it's ...
"The addition of single player to me was just time they could have spent working on something else"
They did, it's called the multiplayer, the meat of the game. He wrote one sentence about that without any real info. Add a tutorial the predecessor missed and there's only more to complain about for some reviewers.
Pretty sad, especially from how do I say, '360 minded' websites. With Starhawk they really like to put the emphasis on the...
"There are a number of other omissions and strange design choices in Starhawk. Save for a simple quick match option, there is no matchmaking. You can browse and filter server lists to your heart's content, but console players used to simpler systems may find it irksome".
Really Joystick? The game has quick matchmaking ánd a serverlist to filter games on maps, modes etcetera...but because the majority of MP games this generation only offers simple dumb match...
Played a 20+ player dogfight in space tonight for the first time.
Crazy stuff=)
Best MP game this year gets trashed because it's to diverse or because the added & usefull tutorial lacks a good story, who would have thought of that?
Done for now, had some wonderfull games tonight, and tomorrow it's Saturday:)
Not being able to select your skill before you spawn is dumb indeed. I prefer the tank, so I want to start with Rift Affinity, but it's always still on auto-repair because that's what I use during the rest of a game. Now I have to set it back to RA at the end of a game, and of course I dont always remember that. Dumb and weird, wasn't like that in the beta.
For the rest it's fun as hell, very smooth playing most of the time but I've had some issues to (edi...
Warhawk's only flaw was that new players had nowhere to go & learn but online, immediately. After time that problem became bigger as players got more experienced. With Starhawk that's fixed. Up untill a few months ago we didn't knew about a campaign, and when we did, we thought tutorial, probably not more. And that's what it is, you get something extra, and for some that's just something more to complain about.
A good reviewer should be able to recogni...
Nothing to play:)
It should be the one that announces the most new games for it's core gamers, but it will be the one that has the best looking show. Add some timed exclusive DLC for a popular shooter...
