Yeah it somehow feels different, can't put my finger on it. Ah well, probably just a betavid.
The Warriors from R*
The things you could do to innocent people walking the streets was just awesome. Grab a brick and bash someone's face in, throw-em trough a shopwindow, proceed the assault with various shopitems and finish of with a broken bottle in the guts & keep on kicking him/her untill he/she stops making that horrible sound. And you could do it in co-op to! And for no reason whatsoever:)
Great graphics, artdesign & atmosphere, typical Naughty Dog. This is a story I can't wait to play...gotta stop watching these video's, that's for sure.
Simple, there will be 2 Ground Zeroes, one on PS3 and one on xBox 360.
What's there to speculate? I watched the complete demo, at the very end there's the usual screen with platform & network logos.
It says xBox 360 & Live, and PS3 & PSN. Looking again at what's at display, nice graphics but nothing impossible for this gen. We can only speculate on the story, which Snake is working for what organization and for what cause. Guess we'll have to wait a few months, a year perhaps.
Metal Gear was originally made for the MSX2 system, the NES games were ports. MSX was the Japanese counterpart of the Commodore 64, and Konami games were the very best available. A lot of famous NES games were ports of MSX games. Castlevania was Vampire Killer on MSX, Gradius was originally called Nemesis on MSX.
The original Metal Gear cartridge was hard to get in Europe those days, and the bootleg copy on 3.5 disk had one serious problem I think everybody who played it reme...
New IP from Naughty Dog, new IP from Insomniac, new IP from Santa Monica, new IP from etcetera and just like the 1st Uncharted, one year after launch is good enough. It's allright if we see the next Killzone, Motorstorm, inFamous & Uncharted, but new games should spearhead the charge.
And get some of the original devs back (pay them, keep-em hostage, go after their families I don't care) and get them to make MAG2 and a new WipEout game, please!
Sad news, I always loved WipEout and thought it was one of the coolest flagship series for the Playstation brand. Not sure if this means no new WipEout game for PS4, but it's still sad news when the original devs have to quit. I had a lot of fun with WipEout HD's online Eliminator and Zone mode. Phantomspeed. Supersonic. Zen! Super Zen:)
Your sofa is comfy enough, or it should be. All you need is a wheelstand, Fanatec has a really good one, rocksolid.
Kind of sad actually, the vast majority plays GT and Forza using a controller. You can of course, you can still have fun, but it's sooo much better with a wheel & wheelstand. A Logitech Driving Force GT with a Fanatec Rennsport wheelstand together is about 200-250 combined, worth every penny once you feel every bump on the Nordschleife.
I assume Sony already has some devs working on PS4 games and helping to develop the PS4 architecture, and if there's one developer that should be involved it's Naughty Dog. For me the quality in every Uncharted game has gone up, there should be plenty of story's left to tell for this franchise to continue, but Naughty Dog has never continued a gameseries on a nextgen platform. I'd be happy if we see Uncharted 4 at all, even if it's still on PS3. The graphics now are still ...
I'm sure it's still in development, but it has been for years now so they (Sony or Ueda) should be able to give us a timeframe or whatever, a releasewindow. Yet they don't, no news at all. Strange imo, the game was shown at a big event in 2008 or 2009, years ago. Strange because this isn't just your avarage game, Shadow of the Colossus is one of the very best games ever made, expectations are skyhigh. Yet no news. Not at E3, not at Gamescon. If the game also doesn't show u...
I ran into him a couple of times. He wears his medals instead of dogtags, so you can hear him a mile away and he's slooow. What's that noise creeping around? Well it's Michael Phelps:) Bada-Bing!
It's a 438 update you have to download, it includes the 2 new maps. This way the whole community gets it around the same time. Just excellent.
Oh dear oh dear. And I can't help-em even if I wanted to. Just tried to log-in for my daily Starhawk fun but an update is forced upon me. 438 MB. Including free maps:)
So many ways to play this game, and so many ways to kill. And you don't have to be good in a Hawk to have fun, tanks are just as great. 2 shells before you reload, 2 incoming Hawks with guns blazing, aim carefiully...Fly Squatter! Fly Squatter! Double Kill! with both Hawks exploding & crashing in your face, it's just beautifull=) 3rd Hawk kills you the next second using cloak & proxymines, I wonder what message he sees onscreen.
This game is pure fun. People n...
10 seconds was more than enough. I'm getting a lot of kills in a tank these days, but tankbattles don't roll that fast, or shouldn't. Imo this looked pretty stupid.
Tanks, artillery, gunships. Really, if you want to blow something out of the sky in style these days & have a proper tankbattle, try Starhawk. Plain fun.
Interesting for stockholders. Another year of losses, yet good games keep on being developed. Interesting for gamers indeed. You're a gamer, not a stockholder.
For 3 months now I've been enjoying Starhawk online like nothing before, it's truly unique...from a gamer's perspective. Saleswises it flopped due to no advertisement whatsoever, but it sold enough for a healthy community. Stockholders aren't smiling, but what do I care looking over a battlefield wi...
Starhawk was released 2 months ago, mad fun online. Don't need much else this year actually.
What ever happened to Starhawk? Well, the community is having a blast with it, each and every day:) Enough players to last untill next gen, don't worry.
But no, sales are bad, so Kotaku says failure. Who are they reporting for, gamers or stockholders? Go play a 32 player dogfight on a big map, the amount of action at once is just breathtaking, so cool. Imo this is the very best multiplayer game of 2012, very unique and even more addictive. Solo or in a clan.
That's absolutely true, it's still way too early to tell & who knows what the final game will be like. As a bit of a purist myself I'm not yet sold on the change of direction but it's sure a good thing to see some devs try to refresh a formula. Time will tell.
