Another thing people forget is just how long last gen was. It was to a point where our machines could barely run the games. Just the fact that we can best those games and on top of it have 1080p and 60 fps...the shift is huge.
This game is best on Vita, but any way you cut it's a 10/10.

Been seeing some reports of super long installs...like 1hr
+ but could be related to day one patches of the games as well. Some people might be lumping them in with installation time and apparently the dl speeds are super rough for some.
The question is about distribution though. I know a lot of places only received their preorder units. So there may be extras out there, but where? I guess demand will dictate whether or not it matters, I fully expect ms to implement artificial shortages though, but we'll see.
I think this article is actually a response to the bs MS talking point that the PS4 has no games. Worse, people are dumb enough to repeat this statement. Reminds me of how people say Vita has no games...total BS. I play it a lot and have had a backlog since I bought it.
So, I'm not sure the author wants to prove the point that the ps4 launch is better, so much as shut up those people that ran their mouths about Knack and Killzone's metascores.

That's the whole point of this "resolutiongate" thing. Most people's TVs currently, or will soon, feature a native 1080 display. So, it's only appropriate to compare up-res'ed 720 and 900p content. Hell, on the right screen size, native 100 x 100 could look incredible (albeit not a game, but let's say a tiny animated lcd watch display) but that is aside the point. 1080 is the standard, at the current time .
Yeah another article ignoring how good this launch really is. Must be written by 15 year olds with no sense of history. This console launch cycle is easily the strongest.

It's just that , Ryse is Xb1's Knack. DR3 it's Killzone. Forza's scores are good, but hovering around 80. Most other Xb1 games are shovelware. Even Killer Instinct is riding mid to low 70's.
Consider that in ever article about Ps4 exclusives there were tons of comments by Xbox fans saying how Xb1 games would blow Ps4 away. No, that hasn't happened.

Dude, we've seen this stuff before... Some of these kids don't realize how good these launch lineups really are, compared to previous consoles. You don't buy launch for games, you buy as an investment into the console. This launch there's plenty to play and epic games are on the way. Getting a launch unit just means you get the fun and excitement of early adoption and you're ready when the gold arrives. The consoles a year from now will be identical, those waiting for slim...
This story should be called "I'm cheap and like to let other people invest in things until they're perfected and sell for cut-rate prices."

Nintendo is known for keeping tight supplies. It ramps up hype. In the case of the Wii U that hype never materialized.
But in general, the supplies weren't that tight, because demand was less than expected. I was able to find many units in local stores the week after launch. Won't happen with Ps4 or Xb1.
